i don't know any smart phone that have high specs and don't need a daily charge, its just a case of surrounding yourself with chargers.. or get in the habbit of charging at night for like me for 1hour when i get up. yeah i can eek a day and a half out, maybe two if i turned everything off, but then i run the risk of getting caught short. i charge each morning, never runs out.. also cheap ebay docks are great for docking at work

I've had my San Francisco on all day and have been using it quite a bit with phone calls, music, games, etc. I'm about to switch it off and it still has 63% battery left. I found turning off WiFi and Bluetooth definitely helped.

Hey, my Desire's battery life is frankly not great, which is the best app to help me manage this? Don't want to be charging it up every day or so!
SetCPU undeclocks to save power. Also hear about juice defender but I've tested neither myself. Nothing will help that much though, just spend a few quid on a spare battery if it matters a lot

just google it it, 100's of guides out there, or look at khaan!'s rooting guide that has links, you just need to create a gold card and flash a stock rom

No you don't and please be careful about flashing advice as it can easily go wrong. The desire flashing thread should be renamed as its misleading.
ill post so stuff here later but on my phone right now so difficult

I flashed a Desire and didn't need a gold card. Neither did many others who user unREVOked

I think I'd be quite happy with a full day's life to be honest! Hopefully when 2.2 rolls around it will improve.

I just switch off data when I'm not particular bothered about receiving mail etc. I know it sort of defeats the purpose of a smartphone, but the amount of extra battery life you get is massive. My desire lasts for days without charging now I turn data off at night and at work.

The default email app on my galaxy s is slow and laggy, as well as unreliable. I often check for emails and it says I have no new ones even when on my PC it does. The POP accounts seem more reliable than the IMAP though. It takes an eternity unless it's on wifi too.

Any suggestions for a decent email app?

Try k9 Mail, they released a new version of it this week

Anyone help?

Probably to do with screen resolution. The market will only show app's that are compatible with your phone. I believe support for other resolutions is coming soon to Angry Birds.
