Essential Android Apps

some of my fav apps:

Music Junk - Search and download free songs.
DroidLive - Stream lots of radio stations (for those not in the know!)
Gigbox - Find concerts near you, search by venue, artist or location.
soccer livescores - Does what the title suggests!
Ride Hopper - Tells you the wait times for rides at over 200 theme parks.
Robo Defense - Classic game.
World Cup - All you could ever need for when the world cup starts.
Blocked Stone - Puzzle game, just like the iphones Unblock me.
Andro Lotto UK - Tidy little app for checking my numbers.
Flight Frenzy - Addictive game, landing aircraft (doesnt include dodging ash)
Cab4me - Get the numbers for local taxis and see where the taxi ranks are.
Whats On - Tv Guide, pretty much every station.

Once Root comes along, you can install to SD card but I also noticed on the Google code page that it's a feature being added to the android system.

I'm in a similar situation, got little under 27mb left. need to look at what I don't use and un install it/them.

Paces Directory - Google's guide to what's happening locally (bit like yelp but looks better in Android)

Psst,

Scotrail support on that Traintimes UK app SUCK!!

Ok, it gives you the departure times, but that's it. I've checked other rail companies and as stated, it gives you a break down.

Okay so I didnt select by pushing long push in a text entry field

Its actually amazing and I make far less mistakes than normal and have no issues with it either, no bugs

I must be near the limit for apps also

I use chompsms, I like the fact that I can lock it.

Is there anyway, I can stop the normal app working? Or best to just uninstall it?

Apple stomps all over Android when it comes to applications, I'm actually starting to regret not getting a 3GS from my 3G and waiting for iPhone OS4.0.

This platform is supposed to be open, yet I can't get the official eBay application or this yet other users can?! Joke

I find the default SMS the best. Don't know why but it's simple and to the point.

I wouldn't bother waiting for the new iPhone. It looks like a brick (apparently) :-P

Bar Tender - This is the first app i've paid for. It adds short cuts to your task bar and make things easily accessible. It's awesome.
