But in theory (my theory...) khaaan's link should work more efficently as it doesn't have a constantly running background process? it just sort of 'works'?

or am I being retarded again?

The addfree app definitely replaces the hosts file (as Khaaan's zip does), the only reason I can see for it to stay running is to dynamically add new adserver hostnames into hosts. I've not personally used it though so not sure if it stays running or not once it updates the hosts file initially.

adfree only needs to run to flash a new hosts file. yuo can close it after (as in force close).

it does stay in the background but i've disabled that

Looks set to be a great addition, people are reporting mixed results depending on handset/firmware, but it installed fine on my SGS.

is there any good sports/walking trackers that have offline map tracking out there? i had runsat and gpsb sports tracker on my winmobile which were quite good as you could load the map up at home via your wifi but i cant find anything like that for android. is there any free satnav/route guidance that doesnt have to use your network too, been on payg means you can soon clock up some tariff useage if your not carefull

Best one I've tried anyway. Fast, decent tab system, gestures work well, flash plays well...

I have a Desire HD also. Give it a try.

That i am, i like to browse the net in landscape view with the full width of the page visible without having to scroll left and right like the stock browser allows.

In the advanced setting there's a zoom option. Far / Medium / Close

if it's normal apps2sd, just copy all folders

if it has an ext3 partition, you'll need to partition the new card first i think
