Its definitely pretty but for some reason it keeps mistaking London Waterloo for Stockholm, Sweden
Not exactly accurate I'd say ^^

That's an easy mistake to make, I'm always finding myself in Stockholm in stead of Waterloo, it's just one of those niggly mistakes - they're so easilly confused...

:D

I have an RSS feed that I want to receive notifications from on my phone when a new post is added - anyone know what is the best way to achieve this?

What's the best app to listen to DAB radio? Specifically 6 music?

I've been round in circles, BeebPlayer is no more, the BBC have released their official iPlayer (web) 'app' for Android -- but I can't find live streams on it. Am I being a bit simple?

Any way of watching BBC News live? This was easily done on my 3GS with Offical BBC app :(

Have you thought of...shock horror...visiting the actual website :p?

The ability to play flash videos might be something that takes a bit of getting used to after the 'iPhone experience', but try it; you might like it.

Seems to be an amusing trend of people buying very expensive phones (though you've not said what phone you're talking about) then using apps for everything...they handle the web well, embrace this fact.

TuneIn Radio has the Beeb DAB stations. I've not tried WunderRadio.

Check in the settings if you haven't already. Stockholm is the default location, and it can be set to automatically revert to that if it can't detect your location.

Right, so I now have a Desire through work, and plan to sell my HD2 and use this as my main phone until more dual-core phones are out later this year.

First order of business is getting it up to scratch as for how I use my HD2, so I need:

Media player
Currently use Coreplayer for music and videos, so would ideally like an all in one solution. If it can smoothly play 800x480 videos (encoded from 720p) it would be a huge plus.

Alarm
Currently use G-Alarm. Like having multiple alarms, volume settings, fade settings, and being able to select my own. Gentle Alarm seems to be highly rated, yes?

Sat-nav
Not one that relies on a 3G connection, but an all in one solution. Currently use Garmin XT on my HD2, and it proved invaluable in South Africa where a data connection was not an option.

Thanks!

How did you use Garmin on android? I know they were creating an app but i have never seen it available.

Sygic 10 with full maps is working well for me at the moment.

I tend to connect via bluetooth to a GPS receiver rather than rape the phone battery by using the in built one.
