Can anyone name and good SMS applications?
I've looked at Handcent but it's got that god awful conversation style with speach bubbles that look like they were photoshopped by a 2 year old on his first computer. Additionally it has ads too.
I like the default SMS app but would like a little more customisation in terms of theme, styling and notifications
It is ad supported though. There is no paid for app as far as I can see to remove the ads. I'd rather not have anything that is ad supported on my phone.
I know i can download yet another app to block the ads but that is beside the point.

Media player
Currently use Coreplayer for music and videos, so would ideally like an all in one solution. If it can smoothly play 800x480 videos (encoded from 720p) it would be a huge plus.
I'll put the question here -
How do I get Google Maps to send my 'Starred' destinations to Navigation on my phone?
I have got Gmail setup and if I add a new contact I immediately see it on my phone.
