What is Backed up apks?

Apps that you've "paid for" and have backed up.. :p

Basically if you can get an .apk of an app from anywhere, just transfer it to your SD card and install using a file manager.

You can't get the .apk file from the market.

Excuse my massive ignorance, but what exactly is Launcher Pro, I can't quite tell what it is from reading the blurb and reviews.

A "launcher" is the main thing which runs the phone's "desktop" and the "dock", that curved bit with the app drawer, phone and preferences buttons on it on stock htc Sense.

Launcher Pro replaces this curved thing with a set of icons which you can both tap and stroke to do different things. You can also create much more varied shortcuts on your desktop than with stock launchers.

So my five at the bottom I have rigged such that a tap on each will open an app, and a swipe launches a folder with shortcuts to more apps of a similar nature.

Couldn't go back to the stock launcher now.

I am tempted to switch but I just have my "desktop" set up pretty well now and would hate to lose the organisation I have with it just to have to set it all up again when I install Luancher Pro. I guess it just installs like an app and you have to "turn it on" as it were.

Yeah if you have more than one launcher installed then when you press the home key it'll ask you which one to start, so you can email evaluate without losing current config

Rotate is my fav transition! Makes me want to smack on some more home screens but I really don't want to add more than the 2 I have now lol.

Yup, loving the screen transitions, so smooth as well.

Really can't wait for the re-write :D

Also khaaan!, you see for this here:

How did you get the discharging text?

As I have exactly the same as you for that setup (again) :p, and it only shows up when the mobile is charging, but when the mobile is disconnected, it doesn't show "discharging" at all, it's just blank, so goes like this here "CURRENTLY" and nothing else :(

Also enigma, the spica doesn't support flash 10.2 as you need to have a CPU of Arm V7 or higher iirc, the spicas is ArmV6, although there is a hack to get 9.xxxx lite on the spica, which apparently works quite well, but think there are some bugs and for some flash things don't work:

EDIT:

Also what are your settings for the green text, blur part? As I can't seem to get the glow quite right, it's either too much or too little :(

Thanks.

It would be easier to just upload my prefs file for the widget and you can then restore it via the dialogue in the app.

Just create a new widget, call it battery and just bung on any preset.

Open Minimalist Text app

Long press the active widget and select restore

Choose the prefs file you downloaded (see below).

Put this file in your Minimalist Text Prefs folder on the sd card:
Code:

Ah nice, much easier and better.

Thanks once again :)

EDIT:

Hmmm, still doesn't show the discharging part :(

Must be ROM related maybe?

Hmmm, right ok, thanks.

See, this 2.2 (stock) has been completely re-written for the spica by the developers at samdroid and all the parts of CM have been added/ported to the 2.2 code by samdroid developers as well as different battery mods and audio drivers etc. being ported, modified or created, as CM doesn't officially support our spica or something like that :p and we didn't get the official update to 2.2 by Samsung either, therefore the developers have probably not done that yet/didn't know about it or just cba, lol.

Didn't have that "discharging" text on any of the 2.1 ROMs as they where based on samsungs 2.1 stock ROM, so Samsung probably just didn't bother to include that feature as they left out multi-touch, FM radio, the drivers for the audio and the 3D/2D drivers where absolutely xxxx, the battery driver was awful as well, steps where like 100-90-80-75-50-30-25-20-15-5, lol, and it was so inaccurate as well, once you got to like 45, it would drop to 0 in a matter of minutes, but all of that has been fixed now thankfully.

Or it could just be that my mobile doesn't have that :p

So will post a comment about that and see what they say.

Doesn't matter too much for now, so will just have to deal with it :p, but apart from that it still looks amazing :D

If only I had an AMOLED screen, this would look even better :(

+1, my Spica doesn't do the 'discharging' text - but I like that, I like how it pops up with 'CHARGING' in glowing red text accross the screen when I plug it in :)

Checking out that flash thingie now :) thanks mate

Incidentally, CM-alpha8.2.1? since when?

And yes, an AMOLED screen would be great wouldn't it!! I seriously need a desire!

I don't get the "discharging" message on my Desire HD, either.

Have considered writing something in Tasker and exporting a "locale" variable which Minimalist could then pick up, which defaults to DISCHARGING and then use an event to change it to CHARGING when... well y'know, when it's charging.

But that all seems like... effort :p
