I'm not keen on the whole resizing thing where it doesn't show the page, but those two tone square style back ground (there must be some technical word for it!). Also doesn't seem to resize text?
 
Ever so slightly OT, but speaking of the market, how the hell do I go about signing up for google checkout? I go through this guide. Yet whenever I try to sign in from my google account, it comes up with "Your account does not have Google Checkout activated. Please sign up from your computer." I'm at my PC :mad:.

And I've just realised its for merchants...FFFFFFFF

Sign up now > Sign in with google account > enter email & password > "our account does not have Google Checkout activated. Please sign up from your computer." That's what I'm trying to do. Seriously, could it be any more of a pain in the arse?

No one had any similar issues or am I doing something stupidly wrong? :)
 
Yup, it is the beginning of the end for it, especially once google (IF they do) integrate the features of appbrain into there own market.

Think I might keep appbrain for now until certain features are added to the official market site now.

Yup. After I hit 'with your Google Account', I enter my details and it comes up with "our account does not have Google Checkout activated. Please sign up from your computer.". When I try the other option of entering card details, nothing happens after I hit continue. This is baffling.
 
Complete newbie here. I've finally taken the plunge and gotten myself a touchscreen phone (SE X10 Mini), which runs Android. I also have the same OS on a tablet that came with my new contract.

I've only played with either for a few hours now.

Are you guys happy to 'open up' / link your gmail account to use on other devices? I already have an existing email account with them, but wondering if it's safe? Or shall I open a new account purely to use on them?

Like above, are you guys happy to link your Facebook accounts onto your phone? I see a few friends have done this.

Edit, just to make sure can I assume the apps that come with my phone are free to use unless stated otherwise? I have something called Timescape with mine that apparently binds together Twitter, Facebook etc.

Timescape is a Sony bloatware application. It's not something available on the market to all users, just Sony. I use the facebook app and link gmail (kinda hard not to with Android)
 
I just made a separate email address when I started, I like keeping a personal email, a general one and now an android one :). Can sync with more than 1 account if you change your mind further down the line if you want.
 
Just to note in case anyone else has problems with Titanium Backup randomly hanging and does a search here.

I deleted the folder Titanium Backup uses to store it's backup data in, then went for a full sys apps & data backup, worked fine.

It's now working a treat, updated my ROM and it seems to be restoring apps and their data with no problems :).
 
Can one gmail account be used for more than one device? I've linked the account to my phone successfully but I'm getting an error when trying to use the same one with the tablet:

"Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server.

This could be a temporary problem or your phone may not be provisioned for data services. If it continues call Customer Care."

I haven't put my simcard into the tablet - but surely I can link the previously mentioned or any gmail account. The tablet's current accessing the internet with the house's wireless broadband.

You should be able to use the same account on any number of devices. I access my email via IMAP on the phone, home pc and netbook. It sounds like a gmail settings issue with your tablet.
