Essential Android Apps

Although it should not :p

It did.

Flashed the .zip and when I rebooted I had no market at all lol not where my dock shortcut was or in the app drawer!

I hadn't done a nandroid backup either lol so I just reinstalled my ROM and that fixed it thankfully

I went into the /system/app folder to try running the vending.apk just in case it hadn't updated my dock shortcut and it gave me an option to install but said something about a "parsing error"

Any ideas why that wouldn't have worked?

Angry bird is angry.

(thought this was the best place for it! :p).

Angry birds website :D http://shop.angrybirds.com/. Comes in all different sizes, think mine is the smallest (5") but they go all the way up to bean bag size that you can use as a seat! (though I can't find that one for sale, I saw it in a video though).

Edit: took a while to come by the way, about a month!

Me too it's awesome - if it's the same as v1 it's free anyway :)

This one doesn't have the issue with not opening folders with lots of files in - it will happilly open my full music folder with over a thousand files!

Massive improvement over the original!

Nicer UI too :)

Unified BETA works flawlessly here, I had to manually enter my MPC-HC path as it's a custom install but everything else works fine, just wish it had a close app button as it has the option to open an app!

The WinAMP remote is pretty basic as it doesn't have playlist support like aWinAMP Remote does so I have disabled that and use aWinAMP Remote for music control instead. Everything else works fine though.

it works great!

just wish the winamp remote had a few more controls for instance;

turning shuffle on and off
allowing to jumo to files direct, rather than having to go to the mouse remote then keyboard remote and needing to see the screen. Just want to press a button, type what I want and voila!

That does indeed look rather good. Right now I use a HTPC with XBMC installed over Win7, controlled via the android remote. Depending on how well this works, it could well takeover in terms of functionality!

I fell in love with Unified Remote as soon as I found it - so happy they've ironed out all the bugs and turned it into a pretty awesome little tool :)

All I need now is to convince the devs to implement JetAudio support :)
(don't think that's likely though lol - all the people mentioning media players, I've never seen anyone else say they use JetAudio - any reason? is it particularly ****? Am I a poor misguided fool? lol)

I've been trying to get Unified remote to work. I installed the App on the phone followed by the pc app. I added the server and port listed on the pc app onto the phone and I can't seem to view any remote. I get the 'Connection Timed Out' error when i click on 'remotes'. Any ideas?
