Why does Gyro run as a process in the back ground? I installed with a couple other apps (so may be unrelated) and battery life took a huge dive

I've seen a few people say that but it doesn't for me. battery life certainly hasnt changed

How good are EA in terms of updating their apps? I’d like to get Fifa 12 on my S3 but it’s saying it’s incompatible….. Has anyone put Fifa on their S3’s yet without a problem?

I’ve seen stuff online saying that putting apk’s of games shouldn’t be done because they might contain malware - is this always the case?

So what do you guys think the best launcher is, im not looking to get too deep into replacing roms etc.. (unless this actually is!) but looking for a bit more customization on the home screens really, i've heard apex and nova banded about, any real differences?

Should i just try one out and see if it suits me , if not is it easy to uninstall again to get back to standard?

They are rubbish at updating their apps.

Yes just have a play, your current launcher and setting will be saved - try GO Launcher and Apex. What phone do you have?

It's too slow at the start i end up losing concentration before it gets interesting

Unlocked pro mode on gyro so now it starts off difficult which is good

I used to use Smarter Alarm but I've recently got a new phone (HOX) and whether it's that or ICS in general but it doesn't have the same voice that it had before. I used to use a female voice but it's got a male one an no option of changing it.

Anyone know why this is or of any other good alarms that read out the news and weather?

Saw this on Lifehacker the other day, looks quite cool but haven't had a chance to try it out myself yet.

How are people finding the quality of the feeds through SkyGo? I've got it working on my S3, but the picture quality is dire, much worse than all other streams, and pretty impossible to make out any details.

Is this normal, or are there any settings that I've missed to up the quality?

Does it improve on a fast wifi connection and go blocky on 3g out is it always blocky?

I've not tried it over 3g, but this was on my home network which is always 20MB+, so definitely fast enough for a good stream
