Anyone got any other apps that let you use your phone as a trackpad for your pc? Using mkremote to browse with kylo and its ace but mkremote is a little basic to pay for.

I've always used gmote.

Thanks I didn't realize it could act as a wireless touchpad, thought it was just a streamer/media remote. Trying it now.

Edit: Better in some ways, especially the keyboard, but lacking a few good features of mkremote.

I find myremote better than gmote, but each to their own and it's also free.

I'll give that a go too, though gmote uses my IME keyboard that's the only real benefit over mkremote, the clicking action feels better in gmote but sacrifices precision for it. Sadly I can't drag and drop or scroll with gmote.

Anyone know of an app that shows you which mast your phone on or which ones are in your area? I thought there were loads of apps that did this but I can't find a single one.

Sticking with mkremote for now, it has the most features of any of the wifi mouse type things, just let down by the keyboard.

It does. As a result, I hate it.

I found myself lost in Belgium last weekend. I could not use my phone to find out where to go, whereas I could with my old N97

look for google maps brutus mod. it saves the maps to SD card and if the place your going already has maps created with the mod and uploaded you can install em.

got it saving maps locally and works fine. going to look into the installing of maps when i have time tommorow/saturday

I am thinking a numpty question; but, is there an app to act as a media remote for your tv? I am guessing not as I don't think the Desire has an IR function? Could have been an awesome media center remote, unless I am mistaken?
