The best part was when Intel said to Linus that the 9980XE shouldn't perform that good

and it's interesting that Linus mentions that he suspects the reason for that being the latest hardware vulnerability fixes might be taking a heavier hit on the 10980XE.

The 10980XE can consume well over 500W with an overclock. :eek:

The fact that it consumes 29% more power than a 32-core Threadripper at stock is arguably even more embarrassing.

Did you read the same reviews as the rest of us? The 3950x is faster in many cases, and uses a lot less power
