€ Steam Users - Why pay more :o)

..your probably genuine but sending a PayPal payment to someone i don't know doesn't sit well with me ......

Gimpymoo is brilliant, I've dealt with him a few times and he's always been quick off the mark to gift the game once the money has gone through. OcUK has a trust system in place where people can leave both positive and negative feedback so you can also get an idea from there what the person is like to deal with.

Of course being in Sunderland means you don't have to worry anyways as you get the the Sterling prices by default.

How would they know? Surely some people use them all of the time, like at work or something.

What about if you set up a new account that you only used when on the proxy server?
Sure but from a different country?

The second thing might work but you'd have to play the games over proxy too. Nothing would probably come out of it but it could do if valve decided to.

I also know him personally, so if anyone has any problems I'll go round and crack his donkey-lovin' skull.

Isn't that right, Gimpy? ;):p

So how come the hard copies aren't more expensive in the EU then? For example, the retail price for MOH in Germany is 43 euros which is £35, exactly the same as in the UK (ignoring the cheap deals available). I'd love to hear what Steam's reasons are for the price differences.

Could EU dudes not just use a proxy in the UK to get UK prices from steam?

Nope you need a UK credit card :(
