Euro talks, what are the implications?

Its not influence, its about free trade.

Cleggers and Cable seem to back it. To be honest they wont rock the boat they like the taste of being in power and they know once this term is over they will be history.

yes I saw Clegg's interview, but he is going to get some heat from his party for this. and if they don't back him, the coalition may not be so rosy as it has been

the soap opera will tell, i am sure it will be entertaining

If the lib dems pull out of the coalition, which sparks a general election i have a strong feeling the conservative party would get a majority vote this time around.

Lib dems got the student votes/parents vote, and most students/parents now hate the lib dems.

i don't have a crystal ball but some may not decide to back Cameron. think there are a bunch of people that were upset about some cuts, like the recent strike illustrated

the Cuts , lol

Blame labour for that they ran up the debts.

the unionized majority are life long Labour voters anyway. I see it everyday at work and its pathetic.

it's wasnt a statement, it was a question. and from your very nationalistic drivel i thought the question was pertinent

btw the EU was formed in 1993 with the Mastricht treaty, so not sure which 1975 EU accord you are referring to?

can you can also back up your claims of the formation of Eurabia and EUssr?

An agressive question designed as usual to tar people ??

I hve certainly made a mistake with dates .....I'll try and dig out the ref for you if you wish.
Just for the record I do not hold right wing views as I said it was just an opinion. Labelling someone right wing or a fear monger is really not conducive to debate. It's really just an insult dressed as a question imho.

and bailing out the banks didnt cost anything? doesn't the UK government now own 41% of Lloyds and some other banks?

instead of acting like a victim, why don't you enlighten us with your facts to be conducive to debate as you so eloquently put it -> 1975 agreement (or whatever date), Eurabia and EUssr

But would they back milliband who is desperate to bin off the Pound for the Euro.

TBH i don't think milliband would win an election, he's the wrong person he doesn't connect to the public in any way.

I'm not a big fan of Cameron either, i've always thought he was a 'bandwagoner'.

i don't think Milliband is electable with such a speech impediment ;)

Oh now Im a VICTIM .........get real :o

yes a victim as you complain about being responded to in an agressive manner. instead of sidetracking answer/back up your claims, or it's drivel as i suspect/said -> again 1975 agreement, Eurabia and Eussr. i am truly curious.

Why do the other Europeans seem hell bent on fiscal union? Thats what I can't get my head around.

It hasn't worked surely? They have taken a trade movement and perverted it to create an insitution to keep politicians in jobs and carry on dictating to others.

If there was any doubt if the BBC was biased or not then there isn't any more. Look at their coverage of this.

Although many in the UK might disagree, Le Monde continues: "Brits are not part of this euro crisis. And they have no responsibility for the failure of its institutions to resolve this sovereign debt crisis."

Although many in the UK might disagree? I thought they were meant to be neutral?

That was your intent to lead with inflammatory statements ....
I admitted I cocked the dates and will post the ref when I can find it ....among several hundred books it may take some time.

Whats drivel about the power grabs that the EU has made over the decade ??
It was sold as a common market when the intent was really a full political and fiscal union with Brussels at the center. We are inundated with laws we never have a say in and most certainly we will never get a straight referendum to allow the peoples of Europe a say in wether they want to be effectively ruled by Brussels. It suits the Political Elites to have power without allowing the peoples of Europe to have a real say. The last excuse being it was only an adjustment so it wasnt necessary to have a referendum. Ireland did and was told to come back with the correct answer.....it was bullying. Every year our ancient taken for granted freedoms are slowly removed. Thats not just my opinion it is widely held among many.
At the end of the day no politician or govt has the right to sign away anyones freedoms under any guise.
That really is all I want to say and will say.

Lol, i saw their coverage on this earlier switched it straight off and watched Sky News... It was just as bad. The way they both were reporting it sounded like the end of the world.

It's clear though the BBC and Sky are not backing the tory party :D

i can respect that statement, all you needed to say really, didnt need to go on about Eurabia, EUssr, Napoleon, WW2 etc...

LOL, you have reminded me of that song. "You can't touch me I am part of the union".

Maybe we could have a UK version "You can't touch us we are on the outside of the union" :D

Iam kind of shocked about how badly the BBC have been reporting this all the presenters so far have been talking like they have been diagnosed with cancer of the puppy.

Why do the other Europeans seem hell bent on fiscal union? Thats what I can't get my head around.
Because you need fiscal union for a meaningful political union, which is what many member states want because they realise that the days of individual European states punching above their weight on the world stage are over. Nothing but a federal Europe will counter-balance India, Russia, China or Brazil.

Totally agree with Cameron, who cares what the French of Kermits think - they just want to take over Europe financially now, good choice Cameron.

Sorted.
Yeah, great. While the French and Germans consolidate their control of the continent, Britain will be languishing on the margins and become the Canada of Europe: OK country, but politically irrelevant.
