European Football Leagues 2012-13 [Spain/France/Italy/Germany/other]

A lot of twitter things going about and various quotes and interviews about Ronaldo being very unhappy and wanting out of Madrid.

Couple of UK Journos picked up on a tweet from the official Liga BBVA one, who apparently twisted his words but others are denying this and posting the video of the interview etc.

Guillem Balague is saying that apparently he's told Madrid that he wants to leave. Loads of things flying about, apparently unhappy with how Kaka is being treated.

New contract times is it?

He's been unhappy for a while now hasn't he. Ronaldo doesn't need RM, RM need Ronaldo, the only question is, who can afford him and his wages? City? Chelsea?

"I'm sad because of a professional issue and the club know why. That's why I didn't celebrate the goals, because I'm not happy. The people [at the club] know why." he told reporters after the match.

"It's nothing to do with Iniesta [winning European player award]. I won't talk about this any more and I will concentrate on Portugal for now. There are more important things [than this]."

"The people at the club know about this. I can't say any more."

I don't think he'll go anywhere for a good 2-3 years. With age, his price will lower.

Inter Milan and AC Milan no longer the two giants of Serie A. They are both currently sitting mid table after two games. Juve and Napoli look the strongest teams now.

Its being reported in a few spanish outlets that he's unhappy because Marcello publicly backed Messi for Balon'dor again.
And also with Casillas and Ramos for voting for Iniesta in the UEFA player award.

Ronaldo's denied it but what else can it be? He earns over a grand every min and is playing in the worlds second/best team.
Money? he already earns more then Messi if you discount personal sponsorship..

The guy's a clown, the Kevin Pietersen of football.

Odder and odder. Madrid pundit Siri López on TV now saying Ronaldo is depressed & cried for 20 mins in dressing room after game.

"The 27-year-old's deal with Madrid included a clause stating that he must be the highest paid player in world football"

Messi's new contract is a few hundred k/week higher .. so maybe :p

Ronaldo's ego is massive but I don't think that big it's self belief not jealousy or bitterness. He himself has apparently said Iniesta deserved the award, I saw the interview but as it's rough translation who knows if it's true.

Far more likely to be a professional dispute with the club than with team mates and if it is, then I'd hope it's something to do with a character clash than whom they voted for in an award ceremony.

I'd put money on it being a contract dispute players always want more money or are we all forgetting about Rooney's tantrum when he was on close 200K already.

At the end of the day 151 goals just starting in his 4th season incredible footballer and his ego could feed the world if it was food but that part of his makeup is overplayed, without it he wouldn't be half the player, if he feels he deserves more it's an issue for him and the club but pretty
stupid thing to come out with in public, same if it's with team mates.

Edit : Ronaldo met with club president Florentino Perez on Saturday and said he does not feel “wanted” by the club. Since the former Manchester United forward did not give a reason, Los Blancos are working on a number of hypotheses

Jorge Mendes, Ronaldo’s agent, was present at said meeting and told the club that his star man has not received any “dizzying offers” from the likes of Manchester City or PSG but a new contract is still on stand by despite talks in the summer.

It gets a little more interesting with speculation that Ronaldo is struggling to get on with some of his team mates. The likes of Fabio Coentrao and Marcelo are mentioned in AS but there was no sign of this on the field against Granada.

Another left field theory is that Ronaldo is upset with the way Real Madrid have treated Kaka but despite previous rumours, his relationship with Iker Casillas is currently supposed to be fine.

So, it seems most likely to be the lack of a new contract despite the likes of Angel Di Maria, Raul Albiol and Alvaro Arbeloa all renewing recently.

I heard its down to how Real Madrid treat Kaka. I'm not sure how that can make oOnaldo unhappy, but it did :P
Come back to your home Ronaldo :)

Oh. My.

Do you want to add Nani and Valencia as the 2 other midfielders?

That would be terrible.

In all honesty if there was even the slightest chance of signing Ronaldo I'd drive Rooney to City myself just to help pay to bring Cristiano back

To sign Ron now would cost over 100m then another 100m for his wages depending on the contract length.

You could buy the championship for that. I don't care how much money PSG, City or Chelsea have, theres no way he is leaving RM for another 2-4 years... but in football, you never know. I'd expect all the big clubs to be eyeing up Falcao instead of Ronaldo right now.

Do you actually believe City would buy Rooney?

Ronaldo wont be leaving till he's like Drogba and then he will go to China or Anzhi.

He's coming out with this nonsense to get the attention his ego craves.

I imagine its more to do with the anniversary of his fathers death coming up that's getting him down.

Jesus, coming out with all this nonsense, really? At best its one interview, and its quoted, and the quotes are quoted, then people making up a bunch of crap and posting it as news.

Because 48 reporters take one sentence and turn it into 48 completely different stories doesn't mean there is anything in any of it.

There is no doubt whatsoever if he was available City would be in for him if for no other reason than to appear to be getting one over on us
Wow. Talk about delusion.

I can't believe you actually think that we would buy him just to get on over on you. Its laughable you actually believe we would make any decision like that.

I will admit the Tevez poster probably was a dig at utd but apart from that.

Besides, if the time did come that Rooney was available there would be a serious reason for it, an injury or something so we wouldn't even bid for him. SAF is one of the greatest managers ever, he wouldn't get rid of players for no reason.

I personally see Rooney retiring at utd. Whilst Fergie is around he won't be sold.
