European Football Leagues 2012-13 [Spain/France/Italy/Germany/other]

Santa Cruz, he's not epic but he's more than good enough, shame he got so trodden on at City and its ruined his reputation, always looks solid when I see him in La Liga. People seem to forget he missed most of his time there through injury, 3 goals in 6 starts isn't exactly terrible and that was probably coming back from injury.

Liked him at Blackburn, liked him at Betis, like him at Malaga. Also, LOL at Real, Mourinho, not sure exactly why, but he gets 2 seasons out of a team ALREADY at the top, then his teams seem to completely self implode. He was previously a master of getting in and getting out at the right time but has failed his year much worse than he had started to at Chelsea(they hadn't dropped that many points but looked massively worse than the previous season). Apart from Ronaldo no one looks any good at all in general this season. Can't believe that Malaga haven't beaten Real since 1983 though, thats insane, great win.

Leaving Iker on bench is like a suicide note. What a mess for the guy, talk about an unmanageable club, worse than Chelsea.

I do like that when a club goes from second with their best ever points tally, to a worse tally, then winning the title in the year Barca were the worst they'd been for a while and heavily injury effected Mourinho is the bestest manager in the world, when he screws up badly... its the club, its unmanageable.

Funny that its every club Mourinho ends up leaving who is unmanageable. Mourinho spends badly, buys poorly, winds up all the best players, ships out players he shouldn't then leaves them in a state when he leaves.

Mourinho is a douche, always has been, the eye gouge was unforgiveable, and he also kicked Cesc when he was fouled by Marcelo right infront of the bench, in the bundle of players that happened he walked over and kicked Cesc who was on the ground. Other than Warnock I can't think of a manager I hate more or respect less.

I also have been seriously thinking that he could be gone before the Man U match comes around, and new manager form(potentially) with some real quality in the squad could be bad news for Utd, if Utd get to play this particular team and manager they way they are playing, its not an easy game, but its very very winnable and I'd put Utd down as favourites.

I'd much rather play Madrid without Mourinho than with him, I haven't watched much/any La Liga this season but why are Madrid in such poor domestic form?

Because Real are crap, aside from Ronaldo not a single player has performed well, Alonso fouls everyone, Pepe/ramos/Marcelo try to foul everyone, Ozil/Di Maria drift in and out of games, go missing for several entire games then have one decent performance. Modric hasn't gelled with the squad, both from not being played much, from not being what the team needed and from the team playing badly making it hard for someone to come in and look good.

Benzema has the odd game where he's a powerhouse and bullies defenders not unlike Drogba could but with more pace, but most are games where he can't hit a barn door. Callejon is a pretty decent finisher, Higuain has had injuries, scored a fair few, but he was starting early season when the team lost two and drew a couple and I'm not sure if he was dropped or got injured after that.

The team just isn't playing well, there are rumours of massive problems behind the scene, Mourinho having issues with half the team and in most games most of the team play like it really doesn't matter what they do, Ronaldo will still win it for them, and he has done that plenty of times but can't do that every game.

Overall I just don't really rate Di Maria, Ozil, Khedira, Benzema, at best they are inconsistent, they VERY rarely have top notch games and they rarely have a good 90 mins. For me Ozil/Di Maria can look great but are frequently annonymous, they aren't a patch on Iniesta/Fabregas/Xavi, or even as consistent offensively as Barca's fullbacks.

Defensively... Pepe is just a rabid maniac, he and Ramos love to rush out and assault people but often miss and just leave massive gaps. Coentrao and Marcelo are just rubbish defensively and Alonso can't provide any cover except Song style constant freekick conceding.

They lack leaders, spirit, don't work hard, and massively massively massively over rely on Ronaldo to win them games. People really don't seem to realise what an epically brilliant season Ronaldo had last year. People talk about the strength of their bench and point out kaka..... who has been completely turd for 3 years, Callejon, decent but then Benzema hasn't been good and neither are great by any stretch.

They've not been good in Europe, City have been completely turd in Europe and Real could have lost both games to them with Ronaldo pulling out a last minute goal in the win over City. They looked good compared to City...

Real almost dropped points to Sociedad 4-3 at home, keeper got sent off which meant Mourinho had to go back with Casillas, was 2-2 a fair way into the second half then Ronaldo got 2 goals(didn't see them due to flicking between that and the Pool game). Exciting game, and I would assume Mourinho now has to stick with Casillas for a few games while the other guy is banned, unless he goes with a third string guy just to make a point.

Ronaldo went over to give Casillas the captains armband at some point but he refused it, not sure if its a because Mourinho told him he wasn't captain anymore, or because it was a gesture to say "I won't be captain for Mourinho anymore". AFAIk he was dropped but is still the actual captain.

Barca ripping Espaynol a new one, 4-0 up at half time, Fabregas with some great play for the second, Pedro with his first goals in ages and I think only his 2nd and 3rd of the season, Messi with a penalty, ridiculous possession, would be a miracle for Espanyol to get back into it.

Looks like Inter got battered 3-0 by Udinese, and Juve lost at home to 10 man Sampdoria, lol

I don't think Barcelona are playing 'that' well tonight and they're already four goals up at half time :o.

Fabregas back from injury looking very very good tonight, Pedro shoulda had a hattrick, scored 2 and had two disallowed, I think the Fabregas one was insanely borderline but its so close I'd call it onside, only saw the replay on a stream though so can't be sure. the other one Pedro was quite clearly offside I thought though he seemed to complain about that one more, maybe I missed a right back or something but he looked 1-2 yards off.

While Barca dominated the second and really should have scored 2-3 more at least, its felt a bit dead mostly because unless its Arsenal 4-0 at half time feels like game over to everyone :p

:(
