European Grand Prix 2011, Valencia Street Circuit - Race 8/19

Well Mr Nuts, you were exactly right. That Valencia would provide a shock for those that thought they would catch up :)

Good drive managing the pace and tyres. To think some thought you had the 3rd fastest car now. :D

Great drive by Alonso as well to cling on.

Dull race but they can't all be top drawer.

Onto Silverstone :)

Tedious and boring race, please get rid of this track :(

Vettel surprisingly over happy with a race where he didn't actually race :p

Guessing Webber, if not already, will be his rear gunner here on.

What can you say? It WAS a more interesting race than previous years here

In what sense? Nothing at all happened, we had about three notable overtakes and that was quite literally it.

I suppose it was more interesting in the sense that watching red paint dry is more interesting than watching white paint dry.

Predictable win for Vettel, I do hope the other teams catch Red Bull soon or he'll be another 7 times world champion before we know it.

:D

Which of the two do you cut though Barca or this place. Barca was better this year with the DRS zone but both are pretty dull.

When was the last time a car was "thrown out of a grand prix" due to being under weight at the end?

The Hondas were banned for a few races a few years back for building a car that could run under-weight, but as forgetting thrown out for being overweight come the weigh in, I cant remember, must be a while ago.

Three notable ones maybe, but there were other passes made and there were some "battles" for position.
Spoiled by previous races, we have to compare this to the last few races that have happened at this track. There was on track action, it's just that the director was poor and everyone expected more.

I think a few people need to go and review previous seasons. You'll find proper boredom there.

Yes, but we aren't in previous seasons. Yes this race has had more action than previous years, but so has every other race. While the show may have improved, Valencia is still at the bottom of the pile for relative excitement in a season.
