European Grand Prix 2011, Valencia Street Circuit - Race 8/19

When they've got so many races on the calendar already and people queuing up to get on board having 2 races in one country is stupid, having 2 races in one country and both of them are terrible is even worse! Alternate between Valencia and Barcelona if need be but we don't need 2 Sunday afternoon kips in a season!

Laguna Seca to replace it!!

Id pay good money to make this happen! Everyone up for a whip-around to make it happen?? :D

I think Eddie at the start had a good point that the nation cant really expect to host 2 gp's like this, neither are amazing tracks and one should really go. Preferably this one and make the European GP move about some more as there's plenty of good tracks they dont go to that could be used under that banner (or just go to Laguna Seca)

Yes, but we aren't in previous seasons. Yes this race has had more action than previous years, but so has every other race. While the show may have improved, Valencia is still at the bottom of the pile for relative excitement in a season.

I don't disagree, and I do think that this track needs binned. I thought it last year, and I thought it the year before.
However, we've been spoiled maybe. It's a dangerous game when people go into a race weekend expecting massive action, it can only lead to annoyance/whinging if it doesn't materialise.

Can't think what the next properly "rubbish" track we have coming up.

Edit: As for Spanish races, bin them both, the Jerez track would be better...

As much as i'd love to see an F1 GP at Laguna I doubt it'll happen because you'd have cars flying all over the track into the litter and walls. Especially upto the Corkscrew!

Hungaroring probably, that always traditionally used to be the king when it came to crap races, has a lot of competition from the Tilke tracks these days though :p

listen to him trying to talk the win up, he (nearly) always has plenty in hand to cover anything, a brief concern in barca but after a couple of laps realised that hammy was never going to get in an overtaking position. Only at montreal did he leave himself without enough to cover button

So many great tracks in the USA, Road America would be epic for F1 as would Road Atlanta, though they would need lots of safety work that would probably ruin them as would the Glen and Mosport in Canada too.

Yeah racing the cars there probably wouldn't ever happen, but its an amazing pipe dream...

Oddly one of the lap records around the track was held by the old Toyota T07 so it's not impossible to get the car around there

God knows what they are going to talk about on the F1 forum today. They've still got 15 minutes left on the main TV show and have already about exhausted all topics of discussion!
