Perez was 6/10ths up on Hulk at the time he put it in the wall, he was on an epic run. Hamilton again went faster than Rosberg and by the looks of things had to abort one or two laps, one for an off in turn 1 but that itself was about 3-4 minutes after he left the pits so I suspect he abandoned 1 or 2 laps already due to traffic. So likely not ideal tire life.

Perez car should be easily ready for qualy, but if he needs a new gearbox he's going to get a 5 place penalty. Looked from that pace like he might have been able to qualifying 3rd or 4th.

haven't been following the fp, but track looks interesting and baku looks the same. could be an interesting holiday city.

Is this going to be a procession race like Monaco with little to no overtaking? Obviously it's a street circuit and looks pretty narrow.

I don't think it's going to be as bad as Monaco because Baku has some very long straights, so with DRS and the tow effect, we should see some overtaking.

Narrow? With the exception of the Old Town bit, this track is wider than most others on the circuit. Probably the widest of all at the start of the straight.

Looks like Mercedes have given all of Hamilton's data to Rosberg. Spoon fed little brat.

what do you expect a billiard table? its a public road, they may have resurfaced it but the original contours and undulations that were there are still going to exist albeit with a smoother/grippier surface.

Seems red bull are the second best here. Mercedes still very comfortable. Hamilton didn't seem to push on his lap.

I really like this track, the main straight is fantastic.

Ah, fair comment. Yeah, I'd only seen bits of the 3rd free practise and those were in the old town so I hadn't seen the wider parts of the track.
