** European League Thread (Spain/Germany/France etc) **

Yeah, I honestly think every bigger team in Europe screwed up not buying him. Okay Barca bought Suarez instead though Griezmann might do almost as well and is much younger and much less hated so might have worked out better in the long run. Real, Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, there isn't a team out there that wouldn't be improved by him.

City probably missed out bigger than anyone, ended up with Bony 6 months later instead. Griezmann is both versatile with great crossing and can play wide easily as he did at Sociedad, great upfront, and is much more Aguero style. If Aguero's long term injuries don't go away or if he ever wanted to go back to Spain or Argentina, he'd make the perfect replacement. Till then he offers great back up to Aguero, great rotation options with the versatility to play either wing.

Absolutely ludicrous penalty given to Barcelona. Someone chips the ball over the defence for Messi to run on to. Keeper comes out, gets two hands punching the ball out, Messi didn't touch the ball, the keepers say hips smacked Messi as they were pretty much running towards each other. It was unfortunate contact but never in a million years a penalty, disgraceful decision, don't think a single Barca player appealed for it, only for play to be stopped as Messi was down.

Neymar missed it, hit the bar but rebound went in, bit unclear if Rakitic or defender got a foot to the ball and put it in the net, probably an OG. At least the stupid Real penalty was a hand ball(actually not sure which pen that was), this was clear as day never close to a penalty.

Honestly one of the worst decisions I've ever seen. This ref destroys every game I see him in. Constant stop-start with horrendous calls like that mixed in. Doesn't help that he looks like a rat either.

Definitely an OG.

Betis not having a good game. Was all going fairly well, then two injuries, a shocking penalty call, an OG and conceding a second. Trying to watch the other game as well, not even sure if the third defender went off injured or not, looked a nasty bash to the face. Oh, manager sent off for his reaction to crap ref, did a Wenger and went off by climbing into the stands.

Neymar seems to miss a fair few pens, give them back to Messi.

I just saw Neymar's assist for the third, I'm not sure he meant it but I wouldn't put it past him to pull it off, ridiculous.

Same ref who gave that Barca pen has had another absolute howler. He's borderline retarded. Amrabat must feel bad because he just took the worst penalty, ever. Wow that was bad.

Valencia v Real Madrid should be a decent game at 7.30, Neville v Ronaldo old guard. Neville still hasn't won yet, would be a great time to start.

lol, I have no idea what happened there, nuts 30 seconds. Keeper absolutely misses that ball causing a potential penalty. Other end, red card which I thought when I saw it first time it should be red. Looked two footed and intentionally taking him out as they were about to be very badly caught out at the back. That interception pretty much took the CB out with only two guys breaking into the box. Horrible tackle, jumped in, just a bit lucky it was so low as an inch or two higher and rather than push his foot sideways he'd have gone right through his ankle.

So was that one, mental game. Real not happy for long. Ronaldo been teaching Bale how to jump by the looks of it, the way he jumped and how high just looked like a Ronaldo goal.

Valencia hit back so quickly. That could be quite a bit mental hit for Real, 10 mins to go and down a man, Valencia have a real chance here.

Haha what a game, Valencia should have won that...how did Negrado miss that one on one lol lol.

Good game, draw for G Nev.
