EV general discussion

It’s already here in UK and Europe. I used them several times driving to Italy. As journey said it’s NACS. Which is the prevalent connector in the states and the more compact Tesla proprietary connector.

I guess I was hoping that every charger may be unlocked for us rather than just the selected ones open to all.

Stood next to one the other day and must admit it looked smaller than a Golf, more like Polo. I'll have to looked more closely.
the golf is a couple of cm longer than the ID3 (same car as born really) but this is due to longer bonet than the ID3 because of the engine and does not affect usable size). the ID3 is a few cm wider however than the golf.

I don't know about height. I don't know for certain about interior space however am very confident the ID3 (/born) will have more space inside.
(I looked into buying one before I got the ipace)

They are big inside. I can sit behind the drivers seat even with the chair fully back as how I drive. Not sure how they look small ???

And yes they do drive well. A little less appliance feeling than other EVs and when getting out of a model 3 into the Born it feels like you are getting back into a proper car.

An ID3 is about the same height as an ipace. The born is lowered so about 15mm lower. Deceiving in size tbh

so the new model 3 hasn't put in the LIDAR (don't even remember discussion in any of the videos car wow guy etc), which would also fix the cruise control issue, like, guessing the distance to motorbikes;
and lidar in the cybertruck?

EDIT: should have said radar, rather than LIDAR

I see, I don't know why the ID3 seems like a bigger car than the Cupra. Must just be how I perceived it.

I really hate the lack of indicator stalks on the 3 too, but maybe if I test drive one it won't seem so bad.

Currently driving a Y (lease) and don't see myself changing for a while but when it comes time to change I may have to consider jumping to Polestar as I don't see how I'll get along with those indicator buttons.

Is it just me?

Why waste so much time and effort just to remove a really cheap, simple, reliable sensor.

If they really want to use only cameras, then they need a camera in the front grill as well.
