No warning but I could see it happening in real time well before the last 20 miles lolDo you get any heads-up that kw/m had dropped - like the average over last 20miles was less than your regular.
(does i-pace include wind direction into it's estimates like tesla reputedly does - whether it explains it's calculation though)
Reckon there was a bit of headwind and was going at 120kph (~75 mph) which tbf is a little faster than I do in the UK. Didn't honestly know it was that fast until I just looked now I'm home as the units only display mph or kph, not both at the same time.If he was Euro side the higher speeds start to take effect when the range still has the longer term trims applied. That’s all.
It doesn’t use wind direction as it’s frankly absurd based on the macro conditions some areas have compared weather reports.
Yep back to AC now the road trip is over so will seeI’d give it a good fill on AC when you get chance to balance the pack back up.
Were you using the car nav at the time?
Any thoughts on the Enyaq 80? Decent mile muncher or a bit of a barge? I know it's a big car but I'm currently in a diesel VW Tiguan Allspace anyway.
I had a look at them for a company car. Seem decent, but really need to spec them up as they’re a little basic. The coupe looks much better and seems often cheaper on lease, but not as practical.
But although it’s almost 10k more, the BMW i4 was offering far better deals than the base Enyaq, so although it’s not as practical at all, I ended up going for one of those. Ordered mid September for approx Christmas eta, but now delayed till “early march”!
Looking at the 80 Sportline, which seems to come with a fair bit of kit. I know there's an awd version too but not sure if it is worth it.Yup as other posted pointed out you will need to get one with the bells and whistles. Pretty much everything is an option with the enyaq. It's on my shortlist when my lease comes to an end
They are very practical. Not sure a Sportline is the way to go with these tbh as they are about as far from sporty as you can get. Just accept it's a wafty barge type thing and go full out comfort imoLooking at the 80 Sportline, which seems to come with a fair bit of kit. The thing with the sportline is it's loaded with kit you might otherwise have to pay for with 'packs' on the lower spec models. Sporty it's not! They are very practical. haven't tried a better route planner ? - I thought they could be tuned with the typical m/Kw of your car and then make projections based on speed you set.Only really use CarPlay tbh. OEM nav never really does it for me (would probably make an exception for android automotive if I ever had one)
do you have other European brand options (do wonder if UK lease companies are becoming wary of Asian brand residuals)Looking at the 80 Sportline, which seems to come with a fair bit of kit.
ABRP ok for a rough and ready reckoner but it's hardly the last word on precision.haven't tried a better route planner ? - I thought they could be tuned with the typical m/Kw of your car and then make projections based on speed you set.
(pity you can't retrospectively check what they would have said, for temp/weather on that day)
Never by all accounts-
All us in the industry have been saying this would happen for the last few years - more will follow!
