I think the twingo's got it/cla beat for anthropomorphized expressions , but, I don't want to speak to the car or have it answer back
(if it had the personality/cussedness of Marvyn/HAL maybe) , from the range results they've released it's going to be the cat-walk efficiency queen though - give me the break version

Don't seem to have been any talk of the touring neu-klasse 3er yet.
 
seems a decent price to.upgrade the battery in an i3. I hope we get affordable companies in the UK offering this

If only they'd made more of a design feature of the three pointed star... :p The grille, neon air vents etc. Nope, not for me at all styling wise. Nice side profile though and good to see another saloon option.

My opinion means Jack though because I'm never likely to rent a brand new Merc.
 
That rear legroom looks horrendous :( Until I started looking at EV's, I hadn't really considered what impact a battery in the floor might have. Guess there's a reason many EV's are SUV's
 
I’m sure it will be brilliantly put together but I’m not sure I’m a fan of the styling.

Could they have fitted any more Mercedes logos on it?

The form factor is ‘fine’ for me but a hatch back is just far more practical as a main/only car. I think the Polestar 4 and Q6 would be above this on the ‘next car list’.
 
End of my Jag era happened today, with the iPace being inspected and driven away by BCA. Sorry to see it go as its a great car but not so sorry in some ways.

The replacement Polestar 4 DMLR was delivered yesterday and i've not had much time to play with it but somethings are a big improvement on the Jag, somethings are remarkably similar. It drives well, is incredibly quiet, rides very well , bloody fast and has a decent range and I hope a significantly better DC charging curve...The rear view mirror being a screen is a little different but becoming accustomed to it already, few software niggles but nothing major, speaker system is not quite as good as the Meridian but not far off. Boot is big and a good height, interior space is huge, seats are comfy and have a lot of adjustment to them and whilst they aren't the nappa leather they are still very nice.

Overall I'm really pleased with it and talking to my wife last night we both said the same that it feels like what the next generation of iPace would have been if Jag had continued developing it.

Agreed, but I would consider cars from a fairly wide price range, as low as a EV6 or Y and up to the Q6.

I’d expect the £4Xk price being suggested on the video I saw will be for the short range LFP version which not many of us would want. I also assume it will be starting at closer to £50k.

By the time you’ve added the long range battery, and a few options, it’s going to be well into the £5X range.

Long range RWD Polestar 4 with plus and pilot pack is £60k on the nose so the difference is probably not going to be that significant.

Edit: of course this speculation on my part but I don’t think it’s unreasonable. Lease pricing will no doubt vary significantly at specific times of the year.

Yes, it took me a while to workout why the floor of the Mini is raised so much and at a bit of an angle inside the car. I guess the battery dominates the design choices.

Charger quote tomorrow, not that the granny charger has been particularly problematic, but I do have to have it plugged in a fair bit at the moment, certainly to make the most of the tariff.
