Ever met anyone famous? Were they like what you expected?

Um lets see....
Served Richie from 5ive the day they got to #1 with 'We Will Rock You' Seemed nice enough what I remember
Gloria Hunniford. Was a late Sun. eve and we had no big bags so wasn't pleased. Don't blame her tbh
The dizzy blonde woman from Vicar of Dibley (sorry can't remember her name). Again pretty nice but not very good at maths

Sure theres more but can't remember. Joys of working at a service station going into London (M4)

I have met Michel Roux jr through work. Always wondered if he was a generally nice person off screen. Truth be told, he was one of the most respectable, nicest and talkative people I have met in the last few years. Ended up spending a good hour or so talking to him about quite a lot of things.

Also met Russell Howard but only briefly, seems like a good guy but not entirely sure on his buddies but they were just acting pratish to anyone.

Phil Jupitus - ****.

Iain Lee of 11 O'clock Show / radio fame - Alright, tall.

Anna Friel - Absolutely gorgeous, pretty nice and normal I suppose?

Geri Halliwell - She was at the park with her kid. Seemed nice, talked about tennis.

I played a few frames of snooker against John Parrot when we were both 18, in front of 500 or so people.

It was a total mismatch and a humiliating drumming for me, made worse by him cracking jokes while I was taking my shots. He tried to make light of it afterwards and asked if I'd like to go for a drink somewhere, but even that was done in a smarmy way. My reply went along the lines of sticking his cue up his backside.

Funnily enough, we never did have that drink...

Met and interviewed a number of film, TV and music personalities and, thankfully, never had a negative experience with any of them. Always been great; Zach Galligan in particular is an absolute gent, as is Speed from Soilwork. The guys in My Dying Bride are a top bunch too.

Kane Hodder almost choked me to death, and I've drunkenly made a few celebs a little uncomfortable (in sober hindsight!) but they've never reacted negatively towards me. Dave Parker is great (wish he'd come back to the UK at some point!) -- bummed a couple of smokes off him, and he's a real easy person to speak to. I think having self-deprecation comfortably nailed really is key to that whole personable touch.

Jason Newstead of Metallica was a particularly genuine and funny guy when I met him. James and Lars seemed a little more "off", but nothing offensive.

I have wanted to meet several famous people (including forum members) for years but then I remind myself of the line... 'Never meet your idols.. you will only be disappointed' :D

Met Take That. Mark was absolutely lovely, Jason and Howard were nice enough. Gary Barlow was a right moody git though, didnt seem to want to be there and was a tad rude (it was an official meet and greet just over 2 years ago now)

Ellen MacArthur, spent the whole day with her (the disabled lad I used to care for won the chance to go sailing with her) she was quite shy but lovely. Went round making cups of tea for us all and was genuinely a lovely lady.

Peter Rowell (itv west news dude who was recently convicted of sexual offences against young girls) he was just plain creepy.

Most of the Bristol City squad over the last 10 or so years (including David James until we got rid of him recently - he was lovely, and I was a tad star struck on the one occasion I spoke to him) who I've mostly found to be friendly enough.

Harry Redknapp nearly ran me over in his massive Mercedes once, does that count? :D

I think that's it. Will have a think :)

Oh yeah I went to buy my ticket for one of the Golden League (now called Diamond League) athletic meets in Brussels. Stadium was completely empty, except for Michael Johnson exercising on the track, so said hi to him. He was pretty 'normal' :)

Jimmy Carr. He makes a point of doing a signing after gigs, I queued up and he signed our program and shook my hand and asked if we had enjoyed the show.
Really nice guy :)

I met Jimmy Carr in a Pizza Hut before he was doing a gig. Very nice bloke and as you would expect has a very sharp wit!

Also met Gabriel Agbonlahor in a casino in Birmingham. He was on a blackjack table with me and a few friends. He wasnt that talkative.

I've got quite a few, but I just spent the afternoon looking after the new Superman and the writer of the Dark Knight trilogy. Met quite a lot of film people through my job. Eg met the director of the Kings Speech, met the guy who shot the Matrix (pleased with that one!), as well the writer/director of Shaun of the Dead. Not saying names on here with the hope it won't show up on google :p

Met Omid Djalili and Joanna Lumley a few months ago. Both were very nice. Lummers was in for the evening and when everyone ordered dinner she got two gin and tonics instead :p Can't say much for the directors mentioned above though..

Oh, also met George Michael

Met the Chuckle Brothers when I was pretty young who were pretty much exactly as they seem.

Met Chris Evans also when I was pretty young at a car show, remember him seeming quite tall.

Met the Bushwhackers (the wrestlers) they were super nice, really short with massive hands.

More recently met Arnim Teutoburg-Weiß, the lead singer of the Beatsteaks (who I'm fairly sure no one will have heard of but they are awesome) he was really nice... and very short.

...Need to notice more than just peoples heights.

Boris Johnson a few times. A lot shorter in real life than I had expected.

Jason Leonard at Brands Hatch Superbikes ages ago. Nice bloke as you would expect from most rugby players from that era.
