Evolve thread

Wasn't getting it anyway but I hate that preorder business model too. This game will be hyped like Titanfall and fail like it also.

oh my titanfall was top selling game for 3 months! :p

i get what you saying though :D

i will play next beta but not buying it . :p

Will be interested in this weekends test to see if its gonna be worth buying, with more maps on offer, 2 monsters and 8 hunters i think it should be able to sell itself to me.

And why not post the teaser trailer again its worth it for the version of "mother" :D

makes it a bit misleading in the email when it says "Included in this email is your new product code. "

Either way ive gifted the PS4 key i got and activated the "new" one in steam for the weekend :)

For anyone that got the email, the key in there is a spare one. You'll already be given access to the beta without needing to use it.

I got a key for the PS4 version (for some mental reason) but managed to get a PC key for the Alpha test. Does this mean that I'll have access to the new Beta on PC?

I think it depends on how you obtained your key.

If you installed that crappy game chat program which provided an EVOLVE alpha key, then they did state you were now enrolled for every following alpha/beta test up until the game is released.

That's how I got my key, however, I have no email so I guess we'll see if it appears in my Steam library. I most probably used a bogus email address.

For those asking about keys, it looks like you don't need one if you own either of L4D or Bioshock Infinite...

"If you already own Left 4 Dead or BioShock: Infinite in your Steam library you can participate in the closed technical test"

I found a spare key on a forum and sent it to a mate, he put it into steam and it said the key had already been used but also that he already owned the game... it then proceeded to download/pre-load it. He wasn't part of the original alpha, so it must be because he owns Bioshock.

So if you own either L4D or Bioshock then it's worth looking to see if this is in your list already https://steamcommunity.com/app/203190. If it isn't then try redeeming any of the Alpha keys from earlier in this thread. It might do what it did for my mate and start pre-loading for you.

... worth a shot. :)

Preloaded on steam today, i'd previously played the alpha but found the game highly disapointing, hope they've improved it a fair bit since then.

The alpha was the most shallow game play I've probably experienced in a long time. The first 3-4 games were fun then the whole thing got stale and i wanted something else to do.

spare key

first come first serve

How do you get in? Open up Steam on your PC and click on the “Games” tab. Under “Activate a Product on Steam,” enter the code included with this email. Anyone who previously joined the Big Alpha will have the Evolve Beta in their library automatically! That means if you’ve already played, give the gift of Evolve to a friend!

PRODUCT CODE: X9V2H-5P2NP-5EVRN

Cant quite put my finger on it but something just doesnt get me excited for this.

I cant seem to get attached to a particular class, been playing support mostly im just not gettin the feeling that this will be a purchase for me.

Will wait till i have joined a group of friends and see if that makes the difference.
