Evolve thread

Personally looking forward to this despite the mixed feed back and opinions. Feels like good old fashioned fun.

The pre order **** is irritating though.

Looking forward to it, although I pre ordered 2 weeks ago but I have yet to receive my CD key...

Completely put off by all the paid dlc for this, they are making EA look good to be honest. Also I dont really see the game having a lot of replayability past first couple of weeks but will keep an eye on it incase i am wrong and then pick it up cheaper i guess.
 
I did enjoy what I played of the betas but im still concern how long people will be playing this... that being said I picked it up.

Will be a fun ride while it lasts :)
 
I'm pretty eager to come back here and see what everyone's thinking about the game a few weeks after launch.

Sounds like they have more content in the pipelines, going by Jimquisitions video 'How Evolve Fell Down The ******** Tree' they billed this game as centered around DLC.

I'm not happy about that direction but on a positive note this does mean there will be more content added to a game that played so well but felt like it was missing so much.
 
CD Keys are a bloody nightmare with sending keys out before launch! I know it's maybe not their fault, but I know other websites that sell cd keys don't have the same problem.

Yeah it's a risk, I've never pre-ordered from CDkeys before although I have used them to buy other cheap released games.

They have just sent the key for pre-load, 26gigs on steam and it's currently downloading so I can't complain.

I checked GMG after I bought the key and their VIP section has it for just over £26 (do'h) which to be honest I'd rather have used GreenManGaming.
 
There's a lot more to the game than I was expecting, plenty of modes and customisation. The 'shop' has a lot of items and it's cosmetic garnish and nothing I can see that's game enhancing.

You can set up matches how you want in solo mode, from match time -difficulty -amount of wildlife - perks etc etc and do everything off-line all in solo mode if you so wish.

Initial thoughts are it's okay, Alpha & beta were unplayable for me and this runs much better but still needs optimising. The game will probably shine with a group of mates. I'll give multi-player a good run tomorrow as that's going to be the test of it's longevity.

I appreciate that. Its frustrating that others will feel the same way, essentially supporting them and this model (Regardless of if they are ok with it or not), giving them a reason to stay in business.

I just hope you don't fall into spending massive amounts without realising.
