Quite disappointing to see that a lot of people dont seem to rate it very highly. It seems that every year more and more of the hyped games turn out to be a big let down.

The game itself is great fun, it has a ton of content both playable on and offline with individual progression for different characters both human, robot and Monster. The product you buy for £25 has everything you need to enjoy the game.

The main problem is how they have marketed the product, announcing it will be DLC driven is so dumb. That one aspect will have cost them massively and rightly so.

It's a shame because they have released a quality fps with a novel twist that has great mechanics and gun play with a lot of hidden depth. Sadly, a lot of gamers will look past this and vote with their wallets. If the price drops like most over hyped games to around £10-15 I'd thoroughly recommend it.

You claim a tonne of content but really, how many times can you group with 4 friends to kill a monster? Its not like competitive games where you are pitting yourself evenly against one another to see who is the best. Its a party game at most which is fine, but will surely get boring after a week or two of the same old thing.

So got my new rig and this is one of the first games i try

Im running a 780ti 3gb, all drivers downloaded fully updated and everything

As soon as i run for the first time i get blacked screened i wait a minute or so and i try shift tab to get to desktop there is a pop up saying that this game cant run at 1920x1200 takes to much Vram i close it and it runs, then when the game is loading, and playing the frames at between 20-40 fps, even on LOW! whats wrong with this game? i seen benchmarks on this game saying they have had 85fps average on my card

Yeah I know it sounds repetitive but hunting the monster is just one of many different game modes.

For example, you can play a mode were you have to defend objectives from NPC beasts and the monster in waves, sort of like turret defense. There's a campaign mode spread across many different maps that re-balances each side according to results. Other modes have you escort survivors to an evacuation ship or protect a certain amount of downed NPC's before the beast eats them. There are modes that add NPC's that help you fight, you can add weather conditions that brings fog or storms that affect both sides. How about one were you have to destroy armoured eggs that the monster can hatch to give him beats that fight with him.

I know I come across like I'm defending the game from criticism but that's not what I'm trying to portray. The DLC aspect and marketing stinks and even though I feel dirty for buying the game I can't lie about just how good the game is with all that said. I'm not telling people to ignore the problems I'm simply stating that it's actually a really good game, one I have no mates on PC playing yet even online in pub matches it's a blast.

2K deserve a good kicking for screwing up an innovative game with their ridiculous money grabbing tactic.

Had good fun last night playing this with a couple of mates, the random we had as the monster was really good so we got smashed to bits everytime but it was still great fun.

I can run this on High on my rig at about 40-50fps, medium keeps a solid 60. This is at 1440p.

I appreciate the info as i didnt know about all the different game modes, i would still expect to get bored of modes with npc stuff like bots though controlling minions.

I saw sacriel playing a match last night on twitch with jackfrags and co. They just sat around a base killing minions that were walking mindlessly in and then the monster came and attacked the camp and they just shot it.....it didnt seem challenging in the slightest but maybe the monster was just terrible i dunno.

I'll probably pick this up on Sale at some point, can the Monster be part of the party yet? Because I can imagine the fun and banter you can have with friends if there's five of you playing (You couldn't in the Alpha)...

You could as we found a way for 5 of us to get in. Just make sure the monster doesn't try to join before the other 4 are in and then let the monster join the game through one of the other 4 via steam friends list.

This is a terrible in 21:9 ultrawide screen resolutions. The menu resolution is a mess and is barley navigable as you can only see a quarter of what's displayed. Unless you go for 16:9 resolutions. The actual in game display is fine just menus are a pain in the backside. It's more irritating than it sounds and apparently this issue has been around since the Alpha with the devs acknowledging it and promising to fix it for launch.
They didn't.
:(

Yeah it's really fun playing the monster and hearing the people chasing you try to be all sneaky about finding you in teamspeak!

Well this is running absolutely terrible for me on both my machines!
Rig 1:
i5 4670k @4.5ghz
16GB RAM
GTX 780

No matter if I'm on low setting or very high the game is stuck between 30 and 40fps and is VERY choppy to the point it's unplayable!

Rig 2:
Alienware 18 (laptop)
i7 4910
32 GB RAM
GTX 780m SLI

Same as above :/

Can't find anything online and people with lower spec than me (especially the Alienware) are running the game fine, but as I say it's not really the FPS that gets me it's the choppiness!

Snap! Same issue here, launch day purchase, and havent booted it up again yet until they patch it.

LOW FPS FIX

I had the same thing on my rig mate, was stuck at 32 FPS. I've had to run with Medium textures for now. I have no idea what res High and Very High textures are but it destroys my machine.

This is strange in solo play the fps seems to stay around the 30/40 fps mark play multiplayer the fps is around the 80/90 fps mark heres my 2 vids showing it.

Concerned about replayability but think the game is great. Not had a good laugh like this on teamspeak for ages. Looks great runs smooth, multiplay matchup and steam integration are spot on so far. Regarding dlcs, im not sure im missing out on much apart from loads of skins. Happy with my purchase.
