Evolve thread

games going to be very short lived. probably dead in a month.

they haven't changed many things that could have made it great.
 
Not sure wether to get this or Dying Light, want a good co op game. Evolve looks good from streams but I read DL has some similar game type in it only done better.

I feel exactly the same about this.
I loved the alpha and beta but playing this just now i felt more annoyed and bored rather than the fun i was having before.

If anyone's curious wait for it to go cheaper and see if they have fixed it or if there are people playing it still.
 
Although I really don't like the DLC model in general and also really dislike pre-order bonuses etc. I still caved and bought this. I do understand that makes me part of the problem. I was originally going to wait for a GOTY edition further down the line with a bunch of included DLC.

I really enjoyed the beta though and when I saw I could get the game + pre-order monster for ~£24 I thought that was good value for money. Despite me not wanting to support the way they have marketed this I do really want to play it. People (like me) who really liked it were always going to get it for that price. It's the people that were not totally sold on the game that will be put off by the marketing approach. I have no doubt that it will have affected sales and they have had a great deal of bad press. I even have a feeling that they will re-think their strategy further down the line. I also feel a bit for Turtle Rock as I think the vast majority of these marketing decisions will not have been made by them.

In my opinion there is a lot of game for the money already. I've watched videos of the single player and that looks pretty good as well as the obvious multiplayer. The future DLC will not divide the player base. Everyone will get free maps and game modes. It's just hunters and monsters that will be paid for (and cosmetic rubbish).

sad thing, the makers are same from L4D.

this game is fun only for few hours like max 10 after that uninstall.
 
Managed to have a few games in multi player and it's damn good fun, although I haven't tried it as the monster. Most surprising thing was people regardless of win or loss were actually saying 'GG' I couldn't believe my eyes :p Controversy and outrage aside, there is a decent game in this but whether it has longevity who knows.

Glad I got round to playing the Beta so I didn't waste my money and buy the game. Played the alpha and enjoyed it so was looking forward to the beta but during that the game became boring. Not much longevity to it imo. Titanfall all over again, except this time i won't be getting stung :p

Exactly this.

Played for an hour tonight so far. I really like it, it improves so much with friends...Solo it can get pretty boring.
 
Quite disappointing to see that a lot of people dont seem to rate it very highly. It seems that every year more and more of the hyped games turn out to be a big let down.
