I don't get it.
I've played it a few times now and each time the team seems to spend more time chasing a monster that we can't keep up with. We eventually trap him for 30 seconds then start the process again.
I found it quite tedious and boring.
Maybe I'm playing it wrong?
you need to get the trapper and the medic to split up a bit. you don't want to chase him you want to cut him off. at the start he's not much of a threat so you can get away with splitting up and then you just need to start hitting him with abilities that slow him down so the rest of the team gains up on him. the domes also pretty op if you get the whole squad in there with him.
not sure what i think of the game myself. like being the monster but find the chasing dull at times. think they made it a bit obvious with the birds alerting and takes a lot of the atmosphere away from the game. would be better if you could just hear the birds in the distance. hope they have a more standard l4d style game type as well. go from point a to b as hunters with multiple weaker player controlled monsters and little ai controlled monsters kind of thing. the slower pace you take the more the monsters grow etc.
p.s was actually able to trick the game into letting us form a 5 man squad of friends for 7 or so games. really do hope it's an option in the full game
