Evolve thread

So having tried all last night scince the unlock to get a game , I gave in , the servers and matchmaking was just chocka even after the quick fix patch last night.

this morning Im getting in a game straight away.

now and again the host/server will time out just befor character selection

I get a random crash mid game an hour in maybe which causes me to do a full reboot as it virtually locks me off my machine . gaining acsess to task manager is virtually impossible . but desktop usage is fine ?

the game itself is going to go the sameway as titanfall for me

great for 5 minuit bursts but nothing that's complex enough to keep my attention for long periods . it still feels like it lacks enough content. I know its alpha and is stripped back but other than a couple more monsters and maps what more is their to offer?

I like the mechnaics and it does involve some basic strategy... but playing alone with without your crew is impossible to be effective .

when I was with buddies I had no problem 7/10 times winning against the monster.

the fact of it now allowing buddies to become monsters just because theres 4 of us is ricudlous. I love playing with them but id love now and again being able to shoot shizz out of them .

Thanks for the code, I think..
Put in 5RC75-P2BTG-BV4RW and it said code already used but then offered to install the game and is in my library :confused:

Well the game is OK, drops frame rates quite often and the team "mates" I had were less than usual, and now I'm apparently mentaly disabled because I lag, word begins with r, figure that out.

Nothing quite ticks me off than the above last bit, because I actually am..
 
Getting wierd freezes in game. The game freezes and I lose connection to the game and I revert back to the lobby after a couple of minutes.

I am playing on my gigabyte laptop and the GPU temp reaches around 85C and then freezes, however in BF4, my temps reach 86 - 88 and I am still playing fine. Not sure why the game is freezing on me. Any advice would help
 
Not a bad idea/execution. Had performance issues throughout my experience just now. 5ghz i7 2600k with an R9 290 and I was getting about 10fps on High settings, dropped to Medium and was getting 15-20fps. Game seems to eat around 5GB of ram off the bat too. It was uncomfortable to play but sort of 'fun' with 2 other friends at the same time. I'll keep an eye on it in future for sure.

The console tool tips are irritating as hell.
 
Game is going to suffer with the same fate as L4D.. If one of your team mates is an absolute moron, you will lose. Especially if it's the Trapper or Medic, but any one of them can do it.

Turn off the console tool tips in the controller menu. Was driving me nuts as well.

I enjoy playing as the monster, but playing as the hunters is a bit blah. Chase chase chase. As long as your medic is smart enough to tranq the monster loads then you have a very good chance to kill it. The flying one is a bit harder though.

That's really odd, I was getting 55-60 fps while recording the game on a single FirePro D700 aka 280X in gaming performance at 1080p all on High with Tessellation and FXAA.

Although it's a RAM, and VRAM hog. I noticed around 4-5GB out of my 6GB.

The game has horrible negative Crossfire support, and no 21:9 support either. At 3440x1440 it would just zoom in and only make 1080p visible cutting off everything else on the screen.
