Get the government no-one voted for.

Libdems want another EU referendum, a red line for the Tories.
that is not what their manifesto says at all.
They want a referendum on the deal.

We acknowledge the result of the 2016 referendum, which gave the government a mandate to start negotiations to leave – but we believe the final decision should be made by the British people, not by politicians.

still amazes me how many people don't have a clue on the manifestos or what they voted for.

The Tories first lose a referendum that shouldn't have had happened and now they lose the snap elections that shouldn't have happened. Morons.

I'm a proud idiot.

Wanted May gone any means possible. I absolutely loathe everything she wants to do. Snoopers charter, human rights act, internet nonsense, ruining wheat fields.
Hear, hear. Sometimes you have to take the hit and stick to your principles.

Also people should be blaming the politicians for being such an absolute shower, not the electorate. Having an election right now was a stupid idea and highlights how arrogant and out of touch May is.

To those people saying labour voters are idiots. I can't in all rights vote for a party/leader that still thinks fox hunting ban overturn should be voted for by mps- seriously? How out of touch do you have to be! In this day and age tearing a fox apart with dogs is just sick. I'm not a country person but if culling is a requirement there are more humane ways of doing things. I personally think humans are more of a problem to this world than excess foxes but I do not think we should start culling ourselves.
As for this being bad for brexit, it was always going to be bad - we ***** them off and they've got the numbers. Coming from an immigrant family (albeit from after WWII and invited) I can tell you my relatives are actually quite bitter about us leaving. And why are we blaming voters when we used our votes in our democratic choice, should I have voted tactically making a mockery of the system, at the end of the day May did this showing just how much she was willing to gamble now we have to live with it so stop moaning!

My grandparents came here during WWII as refugees and I don't care about fox hunting.

Its not moaning, its pointing out that we now have a weak and wobbly government and its Corbyn's empty promises which are to blame.

Farage stood up for this country, it's just too many people would rather destroy the country by voting labour
He "stood up for his country" by undermining its position for 25yrs? Yet the same isn't true of anyone who didn't double-down on the Brexit folly by supporting May?

Your blinkers are too firmly attached to make engagement worthwhile.

Well the referendum choice is take the deal or stay in, so it is a rerun in all but name.
its quite different. depending on what the deal is, should we just take a deal that destroys us for a handful of decades due to one narrow vote?
or if we get a good deal its a shoe in to win, so no it is very different to the last referendum

It amazes you, really ? Not everyone is as informed as you would like them to be, partly their own fault and partly because it's not that good of a subject to be interested in, take part in and digest once you've listened to all the bull ****.

You'd think the conservatives would have learnt. Twice they have gambled on this country and twice they have lost.

How they continue to look good in the media is beyond me.

Party before people comes to mind.

No it's Teresa May who is to blame.

She had a majority, said she wouldn't call an election, called an election and lost seats when she was exposed as taking pensioners and young people for granted and not saying anything substantive for 7 weeks.

How the hell can you blame May's failings on Labour? She is a poor, negative leader who ran a crap campaign after deciding to call an election. It's entirely her fault.
exactly, this result imo, is far more to do with TM and her power garbing authoritarian views than anything else, she was a disaster for the country.
Jut look at what she's trying to bring, how she tried to side step parliament etc.

I wish they'd abandon the "put your cross in the box" method and adopt something more modern and objective.

E.g. iPad with a series of "out of these statements, which do you believe in". A bit like those websites who tell you which party you side with.

At least people wouldn't blindly vote for someone because that's what they've always done. I'd even be happy if they kept your final result a secret so the winner was genuinely what the people want, rather than the nonsense we have now.

Rightwing gutter press are sharpening the knives for May, apparently the party knivescare out for Davies as the whole thing was his idea apparently.

and deliver a far more insightful mandate to government on which policies are supported and which arent.
