There's a case to be made that they haven't actually cut NHS spending either, just that the spending per patient is lower due to the increased demands every year and more people using it.

You sound like my over the top Labour supporting friend. You can't make out that other parties (I assume you're referring to the Tories in this case) hate the poor just because they have a different method to sort out the debt this country has.

and you can't deny that the Tories don't exactly have a great track record with the poor. I vote labour today for the first time ever. I have consistently put my X in the box next to Tory for the last 20 years without even really thinking or reading anything. This time i actually read all the manifesto's and to boot read the statements from my local candidates to see what they would do for the local constituency. Based on that I went labour purely because both the local candidate and the labour leader showed some kind of humanity and compassion. Maybe I just got mugged off and they are just as much shills as Tory, but there is no denying the Tories haven't been great for anyone who is in that "just about managing" zone that May was harping on and on and on about.

For the job I have and the wage I command I should be voting Tory simply out of fear for the taxation labour will pile on to me. But when I look at the overall picture and think about it carefully i can take a tax rise and it won't stop me from doing anything I already do, but it might just make this country a better place to be for all of us. If not then in 5 years time i'll let them know when i go back to vote.

Let me guess, you believe the 'fully costed' Labour manifesto :D

and you believe May can deliver everything she reckons she will do without touching anyones tax anywhere, without providing any figures period and just sound biting that Tory is party of low tax. yes low tax and terrible public services.

The whole point is the parties are trying to get you to believe them and if they do a good job you vote for them then 5 years later vote them out when they turn out to have told great big wopping porkies.

Some people seem to interchange debt and deficit like they are one and the same. My Facebook is full of it... Then these same people vote based on something they clearly know very little about.

Intellectual dishonesty by those goading them on who know better doesn't help.

The poor fools have no idea what they are voting for either way.

The scariest thing is that many of the top decision makers expect to be moving onto other roles and often tell the biggest porkies to secure short term power, as they are not planning to be around in that position to take blame for the role next time decision time has come round.

Voted SNP. Heartland up here where I am, so voting anyone else would have been tossing my vote away anyway.

I think i'll do a nice lamb shank for tonight's dinner

Back on topic, i'll be surprised if the Tories don't achieve around 50 seat majority. I saw Daily Politics a couple of days ago and saw one rep from ComRes ripping into the Survation pollster for giving only a 1% led for the Tories pointing out all the things wrong with how they got to their numbers. It was a pretty long list and after the ribbing the Survation guy looked thoroughly beaten :D

Straight outta facebook?
Seems that way, and 100% made by a crazy labour voter..

FYI there is nothing wrong with zero hour contracts, as we have discussed it already on this forum.. and the majority of people are not geologists and know sweet f all about fracking and how beneficial it is..

Oh so showing people manifestos is now someone being biased.

What the ****.

yet survation have been the only pollsters that have been close to or on the money results wise in the last 2 big voting events (GE2015 and EU ref), so they must be doing something right, or they are just really lucky.

Yes please. I want to see massive cuts to the NHS so I can watch the poor die from treatable illness and laugh at under nourished kids. Will be like an awesome historical documentary that sky can then kick a franchise out on.

Reduce the care bill and pensions at the same time!

Starting to get quite excited. I love elections.

Really? This has been the most boring election for a long while, I've barely engaged in it to be frank. I'm usually on it with live feeds etc but i haven't even bothered. I love it when things go wrong and catching it live is awesome, like when Brown and his "biggoted woman" comment and 30 mins later catching his radio broadcast and his face :D

The closest we got this time round is the Abbot robot short circuiting a few times
