Funny that you never seemed to be bothered by the insults directed at Theresa May recently. Why stick up for Abbot now? If it's any consolation, I'm probably going to get banned for that comment - possibly permanently lol, so you win. What a hill to die on, Diane flamin' Abbot

Why would anyone want to ban you for saying fatty diabetes? A Google search of "type 2 diabetes fat" shows the inexorable medical link cited by medical experts. Being fat is a contributory factor to being at risk of type 2 diabetes. Fact...

I dont care if it doesn't.... Like I said... Point out her incompetence by all means. Its the rest of what he said that wasn't needed.

How would you like it if someone in your family had diabetes ... And then repeatedly got called names about her diabetes because of her incompetence at work. Both are unrelated issues and should be treated as such

Abbott herself has tried to link her alleged disease and her appalling efforts at holding a cogent interview...... In fact she said it was because she wasn't eating enough, which made me smile as I was called out here for describing her as the "thickening Diane Abbott" months back.

No. The European Constitution was signed by all 25 member states, and ratified by 18.

The referendum was cancelled because Labour decided they would not ratify the European Constitution. The Lisbon Treaty is not a European Constitution; it is an amendment of the Maastricht and Rome Treaties.

The Lisbon Treaty introduced a formal, legal process for leaving the EU. In other words: Brexit was literally made possible by the Lisbon Treaty.

The EU constitution was rejected and instead it was decided to modify the existing treaties with the Lisbon Treaty to effectively make the same changes. The UK referendum along with many others was cancelled when it became clear that the constitution would never be ratified by all member states following several no votes in other countries. The Labour government then signed the Lisbon treaty effectively letting the European Constitution in through the back door without a referendum these are simple facts.

The EU constitution was rejected

Wrong, it was accepted by everyone, and ratified by 18 of the 25 member states. It wasn't implemented, because 100% ratification was required.

Wrong, the Lisbon Treaty did not make the same changes.

Correct.

Wrong. Aren't you grateful that the Lisbon Treaty introduced a formal, legal process for leaving the EU?

Just picking up on a point (and I don't think anyone should be banned for the comment you allude to) but it's perfectly possible to have type 2 diabetes without being or ever having been overweight - as is the case for my father and nephew.

I think the trouble with the "fatty diabetes" comment is that it stigmatises the condition which isn't fair on those suffering the condition.

Well, I don't think calling it "fatty" helps, as not all type 2 diabetes is obesity related. My father and nephew certainly aren't obese or even slightly overweight.

But Abbot IS obese and has developed type 2 diabetes (90% of type 2 occurs in obese people) which is why I called it what I did.
I was in now way referring to, or casting aspersions on you relatives. I have every sympathy for people who develop Diabetes, but no time for those that bring it on themselves through gluttony.

We didnt even need a legal process in the first place, we could have just left and that'd be that.

But the UK enjoys a good waste of time.

Wow I'm no fan of Diane abbot and repeatly said she should step down. But to make fun or her because of her weight and throw hate at her because of it? By all means point out her incompetence.... But even this is a new low for you scorza.

Wow! That's rich.
Diane Abbot is the one that created this link between her pathetic performances and her weight by claiming it was her self inflicted Diabetes that caused it. Horrible woman hiding behind an illness gets zero sympathy from me, she is a loud mouthed racist with no integrity and a nasty wig.

Deal delayed until next week now?

seems to be confusion between the two parties who or why
seems bad to extend the uncertantly longer?

some saying because of the block of flats fire?

Why would a fire delay a deal between the Cons and DUP? Sounds like an excuse to me.

Well for one thing the PM might have to go to the site and visit the surviving victims, ministers may need to go to a COBRA meeting, might look a bit insensitive having politicians grinning about the deal they've just signed in front of the cameras with this going on.

Stop trolling, holy ****. COBRA isnt required whatsoever, she has the responsibility to 65 million people and although it might be prudent for her under different circumstances, now is not the time.

Fair enough about smiling in front of cameras however, she could easily incorporate some level of official "sadness" into her demeanor however.

It does seem odd for it to be delayed for so long.

Wait a minute, you like Trump and he is clearly overweight
Nonsense, Trump is the healthiest president ever, if not the healthiest American ever. He's healthier than Michael Phelps. He could win 60 gold medals, but he doesn't like getting water in his ears.

"Downing Street sources told our correspondent talk of a delay in announcing a deal was "not coming from us.""

seems pretty odd
"if a deal was to be delayed it would mean the Queen's Speech, which had originally been planned for next Monday, could be delayed by at least a week.
It could also delay the start of Brexit talks."

strong and stable!

Lol if she thinks she's gonna get an extension passed 27 nations, she desperately wants the talks to fail so she can blame it on "needing one more week", calling the EU petty would be familiar with someone who said she wouldnt hold a general election.
