ha, got a response from my MP, he might as well have just sent a clip of May. Just regurgitate official line.

we care about human rights, and we made gay marriage etc legal and have had a long good history with DUP.
and Brexit will work for everyone and be good for the country etc.

i hate the party whip and somehow it needs to change, we need a total overhaul of our democracy. It's taken us a long way but it is now stagnated and will almost certainly not provide future progress.

Doesn't mean elected officials couldn't learn a lesson or two from her about how to do things.

You can say that, but I think imagining you are the queen and not being very good at it, is the exact mistake an elected official appears to be making.

I guess when you spend years of getting draconian BS passed through the house and even attempt to ignore the house on Article 50, you might start to believe that the little peoples opinions and votes no longer matter.

Ironic that people who say it was correct to launch a speech suggesting that having cut 10,000 police and been home secretary for 7 years, enough was enough after the London attack and we now needed a new internet.
Whilst mainstream media printed this sort of garbage during a General Election, those same people are now saying it's unfair how the PM is treated by the press and we shouldn't politicise disaster.

Frankly The PM is reaping the whirlwind of people slowly realising she has been an awful human being, for an awfully long time in power!

well frikkin said!!! Its amazing how people are waking up to how the majority of the media is run by the few and used to influence public opinion. Seeing May live on tv and being savaged by a select few hard-ass interviewers really messed it up for her too, hence people calling her robotic as she clearly struggles to be honest and answer questions let alone show empathy.

That video, i really dislike them. Pushing the labour agenda behind a veil of sympathy for Greenfell.
I really like the bit where she was talking about DUP's anti abortion views as some sort of horrific monstrous view. I'm pro life, sorry if i don't want to normalise the murdering of babies.

You guys are missing the point of why people are getting behind labour on this

The greenfell tower has been run by a conservative council over the last 5 years (maybe more, labour only just took it back from this election), the 3rd party that manages the block has an ex conservative on its board as well. Many warnings had been given to them about the poor safety of this block and ones just like it.
Labour tried to put through amendments to the housing safety bill (can't remember the specific name or details) but a lot of landlord torys and blairites voted against it. Now with May's PATHETIC attempt to be a compassionate human people are very angry.

When a government says 'public enquiry' they just think it'll be a run around circus that takes many years, doesn't bring justice against anyone and will provide the exact same recommendations from the last damn enquiry for that block that burnt down in 2000 (i think)

I'd rather that desperate women had legal means to obtain a termination rather than having to resort to illegal, unsafe methods. To say that legal abortion amounts to normalising the murder of babies is absurd hyperbole.

If it was illegal then it would be murder.
It's only because we say it's legal.

I'm not a strict pro lifer but i do think normalising abortion isn't the correct either..

If you'd like to convince the UK to vote for the DUP or any other backward religious fundamentalists good luck!

And if we say it's illegal it will happen anyway, but then bad people will get rich and people will die. Legalising it is the pragmatic option.

Legalise any murder then, it will happen anyway, that would be the pragmatic option.
Seriously, i'm just very against unresponsible people who go about have unprotected sex and having abortions willy nilly, more care and attention is needed earlier on in the process of life. It just doesn't sit well with me. Anyway, we don't need to go into the morality of abortions now, keep it on topic.

Lol you seriously believe people go around having abortions 'willy nilly' like they are going to get their hair done? It is a life changing decision for most people and one they have to live with for the rest of their life. Some people on this site really do amaze me with their hollier than though attitude!

Enjoy your sex free life then as no protection other than a vasectomy is guaranteed. Accidents do happen and most forms of protection still has a small chance of failing. Then of course there's the times when its not consenting. Do you deny those people an abortion also?

It's obviously a life changing decision, one which most regret after as well, if you see a lot of interviews with people on picket lines against pro choice, they are people who themselves have had an abortion, that sort of tells you something. Like i said earlier, not sure if you read back a few posts or just came in after my last post but i did say i'm not a stern pro lifer. I'm not gonna sit here and say a newly fertilised egg is murder.

Small percentages though, like i said above, i'm not a stern pro lifer, we don't need to go into a huge melodrama over this lads. Abortion is a whole other thread on its own.
