Its interesting you single him out, I imagine its bias. The fact is the entire thing was drone from every one of them. The only good bit was Caroline Lucas calling the DUP dinosaurs whilst they were in attendance.

I think the Speakers response that "the dinosaurs lived for millions of years" was especially humourous, first probably a jibe against the fundy DUP and that eventually they will no longer exist.

Settle down, i'm about an hour behind, May's just got on and i'm not sure if the Salmon joke is inspired because she made a bad joke to poke fun at her robotic nature or it's just plan bad

opps sorry. The salmon joke though......

Whilst ribbing the previous fisheries minister about getting cod and skate mixed up in a report she said something along the lines of "parliament would at least be pleased there was no salmond there this time"

It was hard to know if it was a firmware upgrade or just a bug

All negotiations are uniquely similar - you never, ever let on that you're not prepared to walk away even if that is the case.

A lost man standing naked in the arctic asking for a night at the inn can't hide the obvious.

Was there any mention of fox hunting in the Queen's speech? I don't recall that there was. Hopefully common sense will prevail and the ban is upheld.

Nope, 27 bills were mentioned (I didn't count but the Guardian did) and fox hunting wasn't one of them. Or if you want to check the full text the Queen's Speech is available on Gov.UK.

I detest the habit and expectation that all politicians know everything. I make no defence for Boris, other than I'd respect him a lot more if he said 'I don't know the detail but [INSERT RELEVANT MINISTER] is better placed to answer than me'. Rather than rant about it again I'll just link to the same point I made in Speaker's Corner: https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/posts/30895141/

It's not even down to that. The point is there are no answers for anyone to give because politicians, May in this case but it applies to anyone trying to win an election, can say anything they want to get in and then do something entirely different and suffer no repercussions. So long as we obsess over majority governments and people are whipped to vote on party lines this will continue, and the notion that any opposition can hold a government to account is utterly flawed as the government can ignore them and whip its own MPs.

So no, it's nothing to do with Boris, but he is basically being asked to explain why British politics is utter rubbish.
