Seems like a bargin to me compared with Corbyns £10Bn/yr bribe to win student votes

Why do people deflect straight away to labour to justify the Tories doing something stupid. It's a really annoying way to debate.

If may can also pull out 1bn in a space of 3 weeks after saying there's no money tree I'm sure she could get more for students

All parties will do whatever it takes to get power, I agree it's not a good deal but you can't single the Tories out for doing to, Labour would do something similar if they thought it would give them power.

Well that's not true for a start, hence the LD's ruled out any coalition/partnership with the Tories this time around

Apart from Labour have previously looked at a similar thing with the DUP....and went....."Nah we won't do that"

True about LD - What i really meant was if a party is close to getting a majority, something LD haven't had to worry about

Have you a source? Why would Labour look into a situation like this, they haven't come close to winning an election for years (although I think they will next time)

Well Labour is a party with mostly left wing Policies, the DUP and Conservatives are both right wing, so it makes sense for the Tories, not so much for Labour

Could you imagine the reaction if the SNP took a £1Bn bribe to keep Theresa May in number 10?

This is going to come back to haunt her, massively, and it can't happen too soon.

You can bet that's exactly what Corbyn would do if he was negotiating a collision with the SNP, but the bill would likely be 10bn or more. I find all this fake outrage ridiculous because you bet the Labour party would be the biggest hypocrites if the tables were turned

But, but, but, but Labour!

Corbyn!

Sigh....

Oh please, this is the best outcome of a bad situation. May doesn't have enough power, corbyn is not in power. This is the best way until they are both removed from leadership roles (along with Diane Abbot and Emily thronberry)

this really.
I'm not happy with May and i'm not happy with this deal or the election, but to paint the tories as evil bad guys who only want to screw the people out of their money/freedom and labour as pure virtuous angels who only care about the people is laughably moronic.

Hit the nail on the head here, that's exactly what I think

It won't. Now if it was corbyn giving either the SNP / DUP / SF £1bn.... It would be a media apocolypse. The media let the Tories get away with it.
I disagree, I think it will.

It looks to me like the Tories are already realising how much of a liability Herr May is, and she'll be the absolutely perfect patsy for someone to come in and replace.

No fake outrage here, I don't care who is doing the bribing, its disgusting regardless.

If may didn't say anything to the nurse about her not getting a pay rise because there was no magic tree a few weeks before.... I'd still be outraged... But incredibly less so.

The fact that she said that to one of the UKs nurses and then gives the DUP 1bn it annoys me to no end. We should value our NHS staff even more so at this moment... Since we are leaving the EU it's going to be more difficult to recruit. May has just put off more people applying

But i bet he could turn to his "Friends" in Sinn Fein, they'll be happy to help
Blimey. You are really behind the times aren't you? That was the fake-news the right-wing press sold you*before* the election, and before May's deal with the DUP.

Now (as a signed up Daily Mail reader) you're expected to keep quiet about the terrorist links thing because it brings the hypocrisy into too sharp a relief.
