explain why Bodybuilding isn't gay

I'm with Kwerk on this one.
I had a mate into Body Building in the early 90s and he talked me into going to a competition in Manchester.
I thought I had walked into a gay club and me and my mate were the only straights.
Gay sport for gay men and I haven't got a problem with it.

Why are there straight actors in gay pornos? (topic addressed in another Louis Theroux weird weekend episode actually). Money... "gay for pay".

True story one of my wife's college friends actually does that now, and he makes close to 800k a year :eek:. He posts pics of the checks on FB.

You do realise that you've pretty much just contradicted yourself there You've said that the actors in gay porn are STRAIGHT. They're not gay.

Not only that, but you never answered my question. If bodybuilding is gay, why are there straight bodybuilders?

Competitions are very homoerotic, but I don't think bodybuilding itself is though. There's absolutely nothing wrong with working on your body and the chicks dig that stuff. Like 99.9% of bodybuilders will never take their clothes off at a show just to flex their stuff in front of a room full of other males. They do it to feel better and look better.

If that's gay then I guess I'm a raging faggot then?

Bodybuilding = culture/sport
Bodybuilder = individual person

I don't think this has got enough recognition - it's just the right sort of logic to succeed here. A perfect Q.E.D. if you will.

As for the original topic - it's not worth it as it's trolling plain and simple. Some bodybuilders are gay, some aren't c'est la vie - if someone can demonstrate why it matters either way then I might attempt to summon up the energy to care but I doubt it.

Body builders engage in bodybuilding. So if bodybuilding is gay, then surely the bodybuilder has to be gay. Your arguement is really weak. You still have not told me why some bodybuilders are straight.

I will make a wild accusation that 90% of bodybuilding contest audience are men (I've never see one so I'm guessing). The reason they are developing their body is so that those men can look at them on stage wearing thongs and baby oil. You don't see a connection here?

Same reason figure skating is gay even though there are a few straight figure skaters.

You've worked insanely hard and you're at competition level... why not see how you compare with other people, just like in every other sport?
