explain why Bodybuilding isn't gay

After studying sexual ethics, I don't think I believe in sexual orientation any more - only sexual preference...

This leads to one not defining ones self as gay or straight as neither really exists.

Ergo body-building is not gay ;)

I'm not a bodybuilder, it's not my thing, but I do like lifting weights - for my health and getting stronger and more powerful. So as a result I deal chat to and spend time with a lot of bodybuilders.

Your sort of post is that usual type of inflammatory rubbish that ignorant people spout. Why even bring up homosexuality? It's not your thing, leave it at that, why even have to make such stupid posts? :/ I guess you're slightly effeminate in appearance then ;)

And if it wasnt for my wife commenting on my chest to break the ice i wouldnt be where i am now.

Got to admit some people who train are **** though but i wouldnt class them as bodybuilders more the kites (big upper body and skinny legs) who only train arms and shoulders. And these are usually the ones who stick pictures on the net or go out in the vests.

The Dark Side of Bodybuilding by Chris Colucci on T-Nation for one. It is traditionally a very homosexual sport but then so are a lot of things but these days the lines are so blurred because homosexuals have come out from all walks of life (Gareth Thomas, Rugby player) and straight men are now free to do all sorts of things that they normally wouldn't admit to.

And yes, the competitions did start out as one rich twinks sexual fantasy show and was taken further by fellow twinks, follow the money.

I'm not knocking going to the gym or staying in shape in general - but going to the gym to bulk up to a ridicules size/shape is a bit odd...
