eXtreme Air Cooling - Build Log + Overclocking

hows it going mate? sounds like you have almost reached the limit of your CPU?

it will get there... have raised the bar for what I can achieve at normal room temps.. but well my TRUE just doesnt cut it with the sort of heatloads I need to move.. fans are ace... heatsink is failing :)

you could always just take the heatsink out of the equation :D

Now thats what i call eXtr3m3 :p

ah k, so not interested in seeing what a 150cfm 6k rpm 90db fan does

my appologies I went straight to the review :)

That is quite interesting but i see the same sort of issues with the TRUE.. what I really need to find out is the thermal load of the heatpipes.. I.e. how much can they physically move.. because I am certain the issue with the TRUE is that I am putting out more heatload than the pipes can move.. hense the slow increase in temps.. as I can drop the fan speed and reproduce the same results which would suggest that I am moving enough air over the heatsink just it cant cope with moving the heatload from the CPU
