Update 5: (20th July)

Well yesterday afternoon I pulled all of the grilling out:

and undercoated it all:

Whilst that was drying out came the dremel to remove the annoying fan grill things on the case... not only do I find they really reduce airflow but with the delta's at high speed they also have a tendancy to whistle if you have a breeze going through the house at the wrong angle..

Not to neat but then I have some edging to go around the holes that will cover all that up..

Next the grilling got its first coat of blue

I had also in the mean time undercoated the motherboard tray and once the blue was done this got its first coat of black

After that the rest of the case got undercoated and I called it a night...

On to this morning...

The Grills recieved a 2nd coat of blue and once they had a couple of hours to dry I put the little V things back in

Was really pleased with the result looking a lot better than red and skanky crome!

Next all the case recieved its 2nd coat of black...

Looking much better than the plain aluminium

Everything had a good while to dry whilst I watched the GP and then the grilling was put back into the front door

Just need to let it dry for 24 hours nows and then I can give it all a good polish get it properly back to gether and then start setting it up for some overclocking... (assuming these fans turn up before I die!)

well tiny update no photos today...

Fans are on there way! at last :) so should turn up next week... case has been put back together and the two 24v PWM units and extra power supply mounted in the case.. have put together and sprayed up the shouds to go inbetween the two fans at either end just waiting for a few more parts to turn up and will be go for getting everything together and sorted...

Ok well very very hot today so didnt get much done was so much effot to do very little... but some pictures :)

Ok well PWM controllers have been mounted in the case after a bit of hack and slash they are finally in!

Next job was to sort the 2nd powersupply and get the wiring sorted... along with some inital cable management for the millions of wires that come from the front unit..

DSCF4207.jpg

So thats basically the PWM controllers wired into the powersupply just go to wait for the fans now and I can wire them up and sort out the on/off switch and dials for the speed control of the fans..

So to finish with today photo wise a couple of case pictures all put together..

I am really pleased with the result..

Have pretty much everything turning up next week... as soon as the fans arrive I will wire them up and sort a video :) Also got some new componants turning up and the last of the various bits I need for the build.... ducting, blowhole trim, converters, etc... hopefully next weekend the rig will be up and running and the clocking can commence..

Brilliant job, mate. To say thats your first time spraying, it looks like it has a professional finish. Is this your first time modding? It seems you know what your doing ;)
