The hot weather is back and i'm getting tempted by those air con units again...

Thought i'd parp in here rather than start a new thread as you're concentrating on CSO.
 
Its not looking too brilliant for me at the moment and i have no reasons for slacking. :eek:

Having said that i should be dumping another 500 odd points in the next few hous on my 4400 and another 500 or so for the xeon within the next 24 hours so its not toooo bad
 
I'm about 18/7 at the moment. Normally I run overnight but at the mo I have exams so it's essential I get some kip.

Finished on Wednesday :cool:

I swear I'm not pulling anything underhanded. I just got rather lucky on my first draw, getting a big double gromacs and two big gromacseses. If I were cheating would I be posting about my big dump? :)

I'm sorry it took so long for me to respond as it seems that the forums took a break this morning.

well it would explain why you were only showing 3 cores up till now - we might have to let you live just this once :p

just as long as the two large DG's weren't beta WUs of course
edit: ahhh just had a look and the 1112 pointer is definately beta work - sorry Berserker did state that beta work wasn't fair on those who don't have access to it :o

well as you probably know it's possible for beta work to leak out onto non-beta clients from time to time but from looking at the projects Stanford show you as returning there seem to be a few beta ones completed :o

alarm bells rang (albeit after I'd posted) when you said you'd had large DGros as the non-beta ones are only worth about 130 points at best

like you said it's probably just a screwed up config - easily done
if that turns out to be the case maybe you can run them without beta for the last 10 days or something so we can get some kind of comparison so you're not completely out of the competition :confused:


edit: doh! I'll be entering an extra rig for the second week though - you could join then once you know the beta work is definately gone
 
Ah well, unlucky Billy... there's always a next time.

Perhaps you can keep an eye on everyone else. It wouldn't suprise me if someone else slipped up.
 
I'm happy for you to follow Rich's plan. Finish current work and re-join on Thursday (under a new name), and we'll double the points. Accidents happen and it was clearly an accident, not a deliberate attempt to cheat.
 
You'll need to restart on Thursday (29th June), sometime around 8PM BST/3PM EDT/whatever it is where you're at. Rich is running his other rig for the 2nd week. :)
 
well I only had one client to set up and even that got the adrenaline going more than it probably should have :p
easy to mess it up when you have 4 and are used to setting up for beta work
