F1 2009 Season discussion/development thread

in very other photo other than those 2 it just looks painted shiny grey/silver.

Show me a photo of something behind the car (like a tree) that can be seen through it and ill believe you.

if it was a reflection why would the first picture have the end of the rearwings letter "e" instead of lets say a mirror image of the word vodaphone.

a reflection would show up the first part of voda in reverse, not the rest of the rear wing ;)

you can also see part of the track through it in both the pictures.

The first picture doesn't have the 'e', it clearly has the bottom of a 'v'.

Also why can't you see the reversed decals of the Mobil 1 etc through the transparent bit?

What tyre brand begins with AZ?

You can see the perfect reflection in action there with the tyre.

Why are people being so dumb, go and get a mirror and play with it! :D

I'm actually starting to like the look of the new aero.

It's definitely a step in the right direction for Grand Prix racing.

Regarding the driver-adjustable bit of the front wing - when was the last time that sort of thing was allowed? 1969, before the 'high wing' designs got banned? Not bad that, a return to the racing technology of ~40 years ago :p

It was 69. Sprung loaded wings back then - had a habit of breaking and losing all downforce in the middle of a corner. Not a nice position to be in.

It's also where the phrase moveable aerodynamic devices came from. Used to screw over such teams as Lotus and Renault.

BMW are taking the mick a wee bit just now.

They are the ones pushing for KERS, nobody wants it (i personally think it is a stupid idea) Their drivers say it wont increase over taking, and to top it off they might not even start the season with it!

wtf?!?!?!?! i can only assume they are writing off some costs for the road vehicle KERS to the F1 team or somthing.

KERS should be scrapped IMO. All the talk of cutting costs, and they throw in a major costly new system, it makes no sense, someone is making from it.

Whooot! Geof Crammonds F1 GP might get a revival now as the cars look very similar to that old school shape again :D Failing that, the mods for rFaactor should be out faster than anything because it shouldnt take them too long to model these basic cars. :D

I hope its made properly and not just a tie in for the start of the season. A Grid-esque F1 game would be awesome, the atmosphere in that game was spot on.

Geoff is long past making any more pc games. Shame :(

Also with codemasters having the licence we can only expect more arcadey grid-esque carp.

Is it me or does this picture look hilarious.
