F1 2009 Season discussion/development thread

I am pretty sure the article said that the F1 circuit would be un-affected?

EDIT
The current F1 GP track will not be affected by the changes, so will remain available for other events.

Yup, I was right. Don't you lot read articles before commenting?

i was posting saying it would be a good track for F1 (ie a nice change), but loosing bridge wouldnt make up for the newer parts really.

i knew it was a different layout. Silverstone has many different tracks.

oh and what is MotoGP? ive never heard of it? hehe. ;)

Looks like Silverstone is going to have quite an interesting layout, and I am pleased they are getting at least one decent crowd swarming event during the year. Comparably it won't make as much as F1, but I am sure it will prevent the circuit from from going under/into dis-repair. Guessing the full F1 track will have predominant usage with Le Mans style events now.

I would suggest something as simple as the cameras not being on when practice 3 is.

Nah, it's shown on German Premiere on Saturday (which I used to have) and also Speed in the US I think. There is no way they'd turn cameras off for a practice session.

*****Rumour Alert*****

Honda F1 transporters spotted entering a Banbury coachwork/livery/paintshop last night!

Wonder if they've had any delivery of red paint/vinyl recently :-)
