How long will it take you?

My brother lives in Gib and has no interest in cars but might be a good excuse to pop over and see him.

Last year it took us an hour driving from Gib-Jerez. Left at 9, got there 10.30am (brekkie stop 1/2 way). 10 euros entry, or 20 euros for the main stand, which offers a good view of most of the circuit.

Lots of little towns dotted around the place for lunch too.

He tried to. His wife stopped him and other people were preventing Montoya from taking physical action.

There's no point in that video where he tries to assault the cameraman. He does shout at him, and get in his face but he doesn't try and actually hit him. He might have done had he not been pulled away, but we can't know that.

It doesn't matter where you are. If somebody bumps into you by mistake (and even hits your head, by mistake) and is apologetic, attempting to fight the person is not right.

Sure, but I'm not going to hold it against someone if they react angrily to be smacked in the head by an idiot.

the cameraman was filming bernie and doesnt even move? montoya clearly isnt looking where hes going and walks into the camera

The cameraman hit him. He didn't walk into the cameraman. The cameraman was only there because he was filming JPM and his girl, and only hit Montoya because he was too busy getting shots of the hot chick to pay attention.
 Are we looking at the same youtube clip?

The cameraman is standing still and JPM is looking left instead of in front of him, if anything the cameraman should have smacked the orrogant **** on his head again with the battery end instead of the lens.

Had his wife not pulled him back, he would've. He made an attempt to hit the cameraman...there is no 2 ways about it.

Verbal abuse is acceptable, but not a physical assault.

Ford are sueing ferrari as they already have a car called f150. Its a truck but hey what would an f1 season be without court battles and the likes.

Seems a bit stupid as the Ferrari is clearly a race car and wont be sold in a commercial sense (and is named that to celebrate 150 years of a unified Italy)

Can see Ford being laughed out of court and told to be very quiet

lol, watch the clip again, (Imho) the camera man is moving from right to left to get a closer shot of Bernie inside the motorhome.. Montoya just happened to be looking to his right at that moment, and was not able to move out the way of the camera man who is moving forward quite rapidly!!
When you get bashed in the head like that you react in odd ways sometimes!

Ford are defending their trademark that they have used since the 70's iirc.
Ferrari will make millions from using F150 on merchandising. Ford are trying to stop that from happening, in the US at least.

Perfectly valid case that I can see them winning fairly easily.

Nice to see Ford trying to smack Ferrari down - it's the 1960's all over again. :D

But how would Ford miss out on millions just because Ferarri have used a name of one of their pickups? I don't see the correlation between the two, it's not even a road car!

LOL Ford.

"Ferrari has misappropriated the F-150 trademark in naming its new racing vehicle the 'F150' in order to capitalise on and profit from the substantial goodwill that Ford has developed in the F-150 trademark," Reuters quoted Ford as saying in a complaint filed in a court in Detroit.

I wonder if they were able to say that with a straight face....

Its just a bit petty from Ford's side, quickest way to look like your a failing car company from my view... Start a law suit against anyone fro a "quick buck"

Hope Ford get only a token payout as the line between F1 racing cars and Trucks (that could be raced and might have a truck racing series) is quite far... And this case will probably have implications in the Lotus row over naming things just so Ford can get extra publicity

It looked 50/50 to me although I would say it was easily avoidable if Montoya had been paying attention to what was around him (which the cameraman is not really able to do when filming), the cameraman was quick to apologise and Montoya's response was rather childish.

Ford were seeing it all wrong, the Ferrari name would only have brought value to their cruddy F 150 moniker.

Redneck: Hey y'all, we gots us a' EFFFF wyyyun style raciiin' truck, yyeeeeeahaaaa!

They should have just waited and leeched off it's success.

Or could this be a form of marketing and drawing attention to the Ford F150?

Most people would never have heard of Ford F150, but after the last few days, you can bet many more people are aware of its existence. You also bet that many people will have googled the images for this Ford F150.

Surely, this is advertising at its very best?

Indeed, even if they lose in court they have already benefitted from the attention.
