Shock horror as racing driver has a like of Ferrari... It's a historic name, I'm sure there are plenty who would like to drive for Ferrari.
*Achievement unlocked : Drove for Ferrari 20g* Sort of thing... :D

He doesn't bash his current team at all?

So as his race team you would be happy to hear him say that basically as soon as he can get to ferrari he's off?

Alonso would never allow a competitive team mate in the same car as him. Just look what happened when he had a decent rookie to race against :D

Even a pram as large as Alonsos will eventually run out of contents to be thrown out.

Alonso would have no worries about racing alongside Vettel. He would want atleast equality which isn't what he got alongside Hamilton. Hamilton was far far better in his rookie year than Vettel has ever been. Alonso would eat Vettel up.

Vettel knows it, he's already talked himself out of a fight by saying he wants Alonso to take a holiday. If he fancied the challenge he would say he could take Alonso in equal machinery and take Massas seat at the end of the year.

Besides it's not like Vettel ever lets his team mate have an equal role in the team.

Formula One faces being thrown into turmoil after Sky sources revealed an inquiry has been launched into the 2006 takeover of the sport.

Sky News City editor Mark Kleinman exclusively broke the story on Jeff Randall Live as he revealed the probe will centre on allegedly corrupt payments relating to F1's sale five years ago.
"The company which owns Formula One's commercial rights, CVC Capital Partners, a big private equity firm, and the board of that company have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the takeover of Formula One back in 2006," he said.
The accountants Ernst & Young and law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer have been appointed to carry out the inquiry.
The move was prompted by the arrest in January of Gerhard Gribkowsky, a former executive at Bayerische Landesbank, the German bank which was among the shareholders in F1 before the sale.
Mr Gribkowsky, who was chairman of F1's commercial rights-holder at the time of the sale, was arrested for allegedly receiving a payment of about $50m.
The developments came just weeks before the new F1 season gets under way in Bahrain.

BS tbh. There's no way in hell he would go to Ferrari with Alonso in the other seat. Hence the reason why he said he would pay for Alonso to have a year out.

Alonso would butt **** him tbh. It would make my year to see him go to Ferrari alongside Alonso. It would be a walk in the park for someone so mentally strong as Alonso to have Vettel sulking.

He only just beat him in a car 0.5-1 seconds faster.

Besides the talk was always of Vettel going to Mercedes as the head boy.

read in one of the kubica articles the other day that whilst vettel and kubica were testing together at williams, kubica was consistantly half a second quicker then vettel....i thought massas place was kubicas (pre accident).

More rumblings going on about possible trouble in bahrain, they should go anyway if for no other reason then if they are there the greater the chance that that prat vettel will get beaten up by a angry mob.

Mentally strong as Alonso? Really? Alonso would have a tantrum the first time Vettel hammered him in qualifying (and he would, time trialing is where Vettel is strong).

This.

Interesting comparison of the wheelbases of the 2011 cars. The McLaren and Red Bull are about even, the F150 is a little shorter. However the surprise to me is the Mercedes which is really short, even allowing a little for the marginally different angles. Assuming they've got a fullsize fuel tank and a KERS system wedged in there, they've done an awesome job packaging that up so small. Should mean the car is much better in the slow and tight sections.

"I would pay a years holiday to Alonso to get in a red car"

What does that say to you?

It doesn't say anything really.
What was the question he was asked in the first place? Context is everything, but even in this situation, I'd expect many racing drivers to say "I'd love to drive for Ferrari".
Doesn't mean, "I don't want to drive for my current team".

Car's deffo built to Michaels's preferences. He demands a car which sticks like glue through turns over pure speed.

Not that it makes a lot of difference but Ferrari's nose is longer than most

The Merc really looks tiddly compared to everyone else

Of course wheelbase dimensions change throughout the season - so its possible Merc for instance has started with short-wheelbase and RB/McLaren have started long.......and by the end of the season they will have raced similar dimensions through most of the season

Interesting difference but means little at this time (imo)

Personally never heard of the Ford F150 - not going to lose sleep over it either lol :D

Alonso is hardly a qually slouch. Is anyone seriously suggesting Vettel would get the better of Alonso in the same car, when he could barely beat him in a far far superior one.

People have this hatered of Alonso, fair enough but come on surely no one is that crazy to ignore what happened last year to even think Vettel could match Alonso.

Christ even when JB put pressure on him he fell off the road.

Whilst I appreciate the speed and ability of Alonso, that's as far as it goes. The guy is a whinging c*ck of the highest order and I'd love to see massa get one over him this season so he was forced to yield to Felipé 3 or 4 times and watch him storm off in a huff or threaten to tell bernie about something Ferrari is doing which is against the rules. His reaction to being treated equally at Mclaren has put me off him for life, no matter who he drives for. I suspect many others think the same.
