Or could this be a form of marketing and drawing attention to the Ford F150?

Most people would never have heard of Ford F150, but after the last few days, you can bet many more people are aware of its existence. You also bet that many people will have googled the images for this Ford F150.

Surely, this is advertising at its very best?

The F-Series does not need any attention what so ever as it's the 2nd best selling vehicle of all time
It sold 30,000,000+ from 1948 and has got the record again for the 28th consecutive year(2010) of 413,625 sales.

Well, until today, I had not heard of this vehicle. I'm sure like me, there are many others. The publicity that this story is getting can only be good for increasing the profile of the vehicle in question. It certainly won't do any harm.

Way off the target there sunama(again)
Did know that Ford went to buy Ferrari a long time back but Ferrari done a double deal?

Then the AC Cobra vs Ferrari 250GTO war started.
And as for the "increasing the profile" the F150 does not need it More like ferrari need the trucks F150 name ;)

The GT40 wouldn't have existed...

And I think most of us would call the GT40 not existing a Bad Thing™.

Ford could have had Ferrari. All they had to do was let Enzo run the Scuderia and the road car company the way he wanted to, and reap the rewards when they did well. But Ford wanted more control than Il Commendatore would give them, and he walked away and towards a deal with Fiat at the end of the '60s.

Hopefully they all protest on that ***** new mickey mouse section of the track they used last year so we can go back to the pre 2009 config. Still a crap track though.

With a bit of luck no one will have judged the new Pirellis properly and end up in a complete mess :D

This is what I am hoping for.

Pirelli were actually asked to produce tyres which degraded much faster and had bigger performance gaps between each type of tyre. It would appear that they have delivered.

My worry is that as the season progresses, Pirelli will "improve" the tyres and tyres which are degrading nice and quick in testing, will evolve into a tyre which can last a full race distance without issue (a la Bridgestone).

World champion Sebastian Vettel says he dreams of driving for Ferrari even though he is happy at Red Bull. "I would pay a year's holiday to Fernando Alonso to have the red car," Vettel joked.

That should gee the boys up at Red Bull Sebastian

Red Bull need to start making waves talking to other top line drivers. Shut the boy up a bit.

I thought it was common knowledge that he would takeover from Massa when his contract was finish at Ferrari:confused:

BS tbh. There's no way in hell he would go to Ferrari with Alonso in the other seat. Hence the reason why he said he would pay for Alonso to have a year out.

Alonso would butt **** him tbh. It would make my year to see him go to Ferrari alongside Alonso. It would be a walk in the park for someone so mentally strong as Alonso to have Vettel sulking.

He only just beat him in a car 0.5-1 seconds faster.

Besides the talk was always of Vettel going to Mercedes as the head boy.

Hamilton is the one who should be looking for a move, if he wants out any team would want him as No1.

Shock horror as racing driver has a like of Ferrari... It's a historic name, I'm sure there are plenty who would like to drive for Ferrari.
*Achievement unlocked : Drove for Ferrari 20g* Sort of thing... :D

He doesn't bash his current team at all?

Alonso would never allow a competitive team mate in the same car as him. Just look what happened when he had a decent rookie to race against :D

Even a pram as large as Alonsos will eventually run out of contents to be thrown out.

true about Hamilton, but, I don't think we'll see Al(f)onso and Hamilton in the same colours again.
