F1 2015 - Teams and Drivers - Who goes where?!

So if Ron has been in Denmark trying to get Danish sponsors, I think that gives your answer SMR... Button go bye bye.

Yes as far as I understand Ron is trying to gain a bigger stake in Mclaren by landing Sponsorship and investment from a big Danish company and if he is unable to do this he'll sell what he has and probably leave the team.

It's purely about money. Lego have already rejected him.

As I understand it Ron is all for Magnusson for this reason but the other and more senior figures on the Mclaren Board, and Honda, want Button.

All the articles about 3rd cars recently. I specifically took that from one from Toto Wolff, I think to Autosport.

Interestingly, I don't think Bernie's clause would actually work. Both options (3 car teams, or gifted cars) would break the FIA sporting regulations, and the FOM contracts aren't connected to the FIA regulations.

With this level of madness I think this is Ron showing he has what it takes to take over from Bernie in the near future... happy to screw people over, out of touch with the fans and more interest in money than doing the right thing.

More interested in the long term financial future of his business than the feelings of a fraction of the F1 fanbase, and 1 driver.

A shameful lack of loyalty, after McLaren built their entire 2014 car from Lego.

Sounds like they haven't decided on which driver, I don't think that it's about the drivers anymore, there's a massive power struggle going on between the shareholders and board members and both drivers are caught right in the middle of it.

Probably shouldn't be spaffing a staggering amount of money on hiring a driver who hasn't won a title since 2006 then ;):p

:D

Seems that way doesn't it.

They must be fairly confident they have something up their sleve, to be able to entice Alonso over and also keep both Magnussen and Button keen to wait rather than sign elsewhere. They must think they have a title winning car in the next couple of years.

TBH Lego could probably do a better job on the aero. If it turned up looking like a Lego Star Destroyer it would be better than what they churn out year in year out. Plus it's grey the perfect colour for them.

Seeing as there is so much lego available it must be easier and quicker to release updates of the car... :D

Imagine walking to your local toy shop and being able to buy the 2015 F1 (full size) only 5,000,000 Pcs:D
