FA CUP FINAL ... Arsenal v Chelsea ... Saturday 27th May *** Spoilers ***

It clearly was. Just look up the laws of the game ffs.
I missed the first half but had it on the radio - unless Ramsey either played or attempted to play the ball (in other words swung a leg at it) then he's not classed as being active and therefore it wouldn't be offside.

Thats not the laws though...its:

Making a gesture or movement which, in the opinion of
the referee, deceives or distracts an opponent.

Which Ramsey clearly does.

It's not as simple as that though. The laws are open to interpretation which is why refs are given guidelines to work to. As I said, unless the player plays or attempts to player the ball (short of being stood in the keeper's eye line from a shot), based on the guidelines the officials are given, he's not deemed to be active and not offside.

But the law does not state "if he plays or attempts etc" it says what it says.

Ofcourse it open to interpretation but hes three yards in front of the keeper, goes to play the ball and is called off it by Alexis...how isnt he interfering?

Sign wenger up for 3 years. What a legend. Won us another cup.

People banging on about spurs, but what have they won? Lol

Arsenal should have at least 6 here. Ridiculous.
Arsenal are very lucky in the sense that Chelsea didnt appear for 45 minutes

Really should have settled it in the 1st half - 3 or even 4-0 wouldnt have been unfair at half time
Hazard was pretty invisible for the whole game and why oh why did Conte take so long to bring on Willian but fully deserved by Arsenal
