FA Cup Semi Finals + other football *Spoilers*

Awesome, we have a prize ******!

@Nokkon - I also think Tevez was dire today. Kept getting the ball caught up in his feet, didn't know what to do with it, had no worthy shots and when he did shoot he made it ridiculously difficult for himself.

It was a pretty dire game overall if you ask me, but I'm glad Everton won it in the end.

I usually like watching Man Utd play, but when Berbatov is playing he really is slack. He's very skilful and has great vision, if he wants to make a killer pass then 90% of the time he'll make it - he just needs to put some bloody effort in. If you took half of Tevez's work rate and gave it to Berbatov he'd be fantastic.

He obviously cares.

I don't know what I would do with Berbatov if I was a manger. I would probably want to sell him, but how much would he be worth now? £10m?

Knowing Fergie, he'll probably still pick him ahead of Tevez.

Fergie has to pick him to keep face, he doesnt want to look like benitez did around keane.

I think he is a very talented player, but he needs to put more effort in. Take a leaf from ronaldo's book last week, Berbatov is deceptively fast if he would just use some of his speed.

At the very least, the Barcodes have to pull back 4 points from these games:

Pompey (H)
Liverpool (A)
Middlesbrough (H)
Fulham (H)
Villa (A)

They also have to hope that Blackburn, Hull and Sunderland don't pick up anymore points.

If those teams pick up 2 points each, in 5 games, then Newcastle will have to win 2 and draw 1, in their 5 games:

Pompey (3pts)
Middlesbrough (3pts)
Fulham (1pts)

Looking at the fixtures, Sunderland and Blackburn shouldn't have any problems staying up but Hull's fixtures are incredibly hard.

I've got a feeling Newcastle will just stay up. They should fancy themselves to pick up at least 7 points from their 3 home games and i just can't see Hull getting any more than 3 points.

I think that's a fair an accurate assessment of the situation. I'm not looking forward to our next few games.

It's always been about the 3 home games, that hasn't changed, and away points are very welcome but near impossible with the current squad.

Rather disappointed in going out in the Semi's again.
The FA cup is starting to prove rather elusive to this current set of players.
I thought the game was pretty even, both teams enjoyed spells of dominance.
No real complaints about the team selection, other than Gibson. Imo, he just isn't good enough and never will be. A semi final is no place for dead weight. Young, talented youngsters maybe. But not dead weight.
Penalty's are always a lottery and we have had our share of luck with them recently, so not to surprised with us losing them this time.
I find it a little strange that neither Scholes, Tevez and Gibson (who at least has a shot on him) were not in the first 5 and two central defenders were.
Of course a manager wants his players to volunteer to take one and some players will naturally shy away from such a task. But I would have expected Tevez (who has scored in our past 2 or 3 shootouts) and scholes (who was the most experienced player on the pitch) to have wanted to.
However it was a good enough game, only spoiled by a terrible referee who blew far, far too often, got the small decisions only about 50/50 correct and who got the big decision wrong.
As long as Chelsea don't win the CL, I think I actually want them to win it now.
Moyes is a horrible little toad, who I would hate to take charge at MUFC.
