Just in case there are any lurkers here who think this game is too intimidating. This is a really good playlist to watch whilst you play along and it will teach you a lot of how stuff works, but it doesn't ruin the fun by telling you how to optimise everything.

I've started playing again recently. My megabase server (vanilla + Infinite resources) stopped working- turns out the central game timer is 32bit, so after 2 years or so the save becomes unloadable. Sorted that but lost all my blueprints, so decided to wipe most of it and start again and rebuild all my modules with more optimisation. It took 20,000 bots three days to deconstruct and store most of it :D

Now a couple of weeks later I've built production for all the factory components, created modules for Green, Red and Blue circuits and set up a buffer distribution network so bots can build stuff from parts locally. Another four days and everything will be built and distributed, and I can start planning for launching some rockets!
 
Hi guys loving space exploration at the moment, but struggling with automating rocket launches with circuits, are there any easy to follow guides?
 
I tried the demo and really liked it so decided to get this, not the space one yet, I enjoy satisfactory but sort of prefer the 2d I think. Guess my little spare time is on the way out :)
 
Surprised this thread only has 15 pages!

Started factorio again a few months ago when I got my steam deck, and have finally just built my first rocket silo :D

As I’m on the steam deck I have had biters turned off as it was all a bit too manic when I started again, and I quite like it as a way to unwind of an evening.

Also done it all without robotics as couldn’t be bothered to learn how everything works on such a small screen, so everything is belts :cry:

Hopefully will get a rocket launched tomorrow evening and can finally say I have completed factorio! :)

Congratz! Definitely recommend the space DLC it basically makes the game 4x bigger. I love it but stopped before trying Gleba properly as I had twins and cannot justify the time needed to get setup there yet!
