you'll have a good time, good way to sink time 
and even with out the dlc there stuff added. but pick up the DLC
there should be an update for Space exploreation which supports factorio 2.0 soon as well

Game is holding its price was hoping for a cheap bargain.

they said a long tme ago the price wouldnt drop, once released. they may change tune in another 5-10years, if its becoming unpopular to encourage more sales.
I bought the game in early access for £14, got around 2000 hours of gameplay out of that pre-DLC. Bought some merch as the devs deserved more money and didn't hesitate a second on grabbing the DLC. Up to 2347 hours now. Fully expect to sink many hundreds more into it.
It's definitely worth the price for the base game, but if you are a little concerned about the price with the DLC - just grab that at a later point. It's definitely the sort of game you can replay many times, and it's not lacking content without the DLC. That's before you even consider mods too!
